8 Crores Advance To Mahesh Babu

Mahesh Babu is a superstar and one flop does not change that. There are many people who are dying to see him once again on screen. Little wonder that the producers are vying to get his dates.  The latest news from Film Nagar is that Mahesh has been given a huge sum as advance by Bhavya Creations. Talk is that out of the Rs 18 crores as remuneration, he has been given Rs 8 crore as advance.

But the film will go on to the sets only after he wraps up Puri’s film and the next one with Trivikram. This film will be produced by Radhakrishna. If that happens, then Bhavya Creations will have to wait for almost two years. Though it is not clear if they will wait or make another film meanwhile, it is quite common for producers to give advance to Mahesh just to block his dates. Incidentally, Ashwini Dutt’s film which was planned at the time of Khaleja, hasn’t started as yet.

'Make in India' Says Modi

The launch of "Make in India" campaign here was as much about the new initiative as about the man behind it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the star of the occasion as a galaxy of industry leaders showered praise on him for his vision as Modi connected and bonded with the large gathering in his chatty and conversational style. Modi gave new meaning to the old acronym "FDI - first develop India (apart from foreign direct investment)" - in his nearly 40-minute speech that was political in parts but largely focused on ways to make India a manufacturing destination. By the time he ended his speech amidst cheers, Modi got a standing ovation from the gathering that included industry leaders from India and outside, diplomats and senior government officials. Modi had first articulated "Make in India" initiative during his Independence Day address and the launch of the mission took place after almost a month.

He also evoked symbolism in his speech, referring to ISRO's success in having a successful Mars mission on debut and pitched it as a demonstration of capability of India's people. He also said that "Make in India" launch coincided with the start of Navratras (a period considered auspicious by Hindus) and mentioned that the launch was also taking place on the birth anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, an ideologue of his Bharatiya Janata Party. The main plenary hall, as also the six conference rooms of the Vigyan Bhavan complex was packed with representatives of the corporate world, diplomats and key government functionaries.

The prime minister, in fact, began his speech by apologising to the invitees who had to listen to him standing since every seat was taken. The tone for the event was set by Commerce Minister Nirmala Sithraman, who in her brief but lucid address, pointed to the initiatives of the government to boost growth and manufacturing while admitting that the country in the past had been identified with "red tapism" and "inspector raj." "We are fully conscious and want to chart out a new course," she said. Incidentally, Sithraman was the only minister to speak of the eight ministers present on the dais apart from Modi. She said the government had identified 25 sectors "in which India can become the world leader". Modi's leadership emerged as a common thread in the speeches of industry leaders. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said that a unique leadership quality of prime minister was that he "dreams and does". "He also motivates billion Indians to dream and do," Ambani added. ITC chairman Y.C. Deveshwar said he was inspired by "boldness" of Modi's vision as also his "simplicity of communication". Wipro chairman Azim Premji and ICICI Bank chief Chanda Kochharwere among those who praised Modi's vision in launching the "Make in India" initiative. In his speech, Modi also took a dig at the UPA government, stating that flight of capital had started taking place during its rule. Without naming Congress, he said that party leaders had now stopped taking credit for the financial inclusion scheme as they realise they could not implement it properly. The sleekly produced audio-visual clips on the mission drew on the country's past to pave the way in the future. The Askok Chakra (wheel) drawn from the national emblem was the central motif of the event as it metamorphosed into tools in the audio-visual clips and then finally fitting into a lion, the official emblem.

Gabbar' Mahesh - 'Murari' Charan

Earlier we have seen many instances when Mahesh Babu and Ram charan competed at BO.Now the star heroes set for another war.Mahesh Babu's Aagadu hit the screens today and Ram Charan is all set to unleash his Govindudu Andari Vaadele soon.

Mahesh Aagadu is getting average to above average reviews from audience .Mahesh fans enjoying the movie to the core. While the joy seem to be unstoppable, critics say that Srinu Vaitla has just followed Gabbar Singh in the first half of the film. People who saw Aagadu is saying that it has shades of Gabbar singh.

Keeping Mahesh aside another comparison came to light about Ram charan GAV  movie.GAV has the shades of Mahesh's Murari.

It has Krishna Vamsi's trademark-style touch to family entertainer and recalls you the director's previous films Murari and Chandamama. Many are wondering whether Krishna Vami is canning  Murari sequel with Cherry. For now ‘’Gabbar’’ Mahesh was confirmed and fans looking whether  GAV be turn as Murari of Charan or not. Once Govindudu is released everything will come clear.

Aagadu USA Premiere & AP/Nizam Record

Mahesh Babu starrer 'Aagadu' has recorded earth-shattering collected especially in Overseas. The Thursday premieres itself set the momentum for a record-breaking spree.

Aagadu USA Thursday Premieres: $ 501K from 107 Locations. The previous highest has been $ $ 346K (Atharintiki Daredi) and the mass entertainer surpassed it by a huge margin of $ 155K.

As per the initial estimates, 'Aagadu' is gonna collect a revenue of $ 2.5 Million at USA Box Office in its Opening Weekend itself irrespective of the mouth talk or reviews as all the shows till Sunday have been sold out even before the release.

However, 'Aagadu' is unlikely to shatter 'Atharintiki Daredi' (Rs 10.75 crore) first day record in Telugu states as the opening in Ceeded isn't up to the mark. It is expected to settle with All Time No. 2 slot.

Mahesh Aagadu Movie Review

Movie: Aagadu

Story, Screenplay, Dialogues, Direction: Srinu Vaitla
Release Date: September 19, 2014

Mahesh, Srinu Vaitla and 14 Reels make for a powerful combination that assures nothing short of a blockbuster. So, does Aagadu live up to the expectations of fans both in India and overseas? Let’s check out…

Story:
Encounter Shanker (Mahesh) as the name suggests is introduced as an encounter specialist. Thanks to his track record, he is posted in Bukkavaram to eliminate Damodar (Sonu Sood) and his gang who are out to set up a project that is not environment friendly. Once in Bukkavaram, Shanker goes about the task and in the process ends up meeting Saroja and her eccentric family that is into sweet-making business. Well, how Shanker wins over the ‘not-so-sweet’ Saroja and how he seeks revenge for his brother’s death forms the rest of the story.

Artistes’ Performances:
Mahesh is energetic and has shed the lean look that he sported for One-Nenokkadine. It’s a cakewalk for him to play the villain-bashing sincere cop who uses his guts and brain to get even with the villains. Though he is not as convincing as the role he played in Dookudu, he nevertheless looks good and does his job sincerely.

On the other hand, Tamannah is a huge disappointment. She has been paired with Mahesh for the first time and many expected some fireworks on screen. Instead, she looks tired and totally disinterested in the role she plays. Though she does enough skin show, she loses out to Shruti Haasan in the oomph factor who manages to sizzle in the item song.
Sonu Sood is his usual best and perfectly fits into Damodar’s role. In fact, he is a good match to Mahesh and gives tough competition to him with his chiseled body and intense performance.

Rajender Prasad as the cop who brings home an orphan boy, Ajay as IAS officer and Shanker’s brother, Brahmanandam, Ashish Vidyarthi and MS Narayana put in decent performances in keeping with the limitations of their characters.

Technical Excellence:
The film is nearly 165 minutes long. Honestly, for a Mahesh’s film, length need not be a deterrent. But given the storyline of Aagadu, you wish it was trimmed shorter.
The cinematography is alright given the scope of the film. Again, one department that really pulls down the film is SS Thaman’s music. After the chart-topping music of Dookudu, Aagadu has really bad music barring the Bhel Puri song.
Aagadu has been hyped a lot not just because of Mahesh, but also because of Srinu Vaitla. But Vaitla disappoints majorly by making a film that is a vague rehash of Dookudu. The basic theme and the way he handles the story is reminiscent of his earlier film.
Highlights:
  • Mahesh
Drawbacks:
  • Story
  • Music
Analysis:
Ever since the film has been announced, fans of Mahesh have been anxiously awaiting the release of Aagadu.
Since it is Mahesh’s next after One-Nenokkadine, they hoped that Srinu Vaitla will recreate the magic of Dookudu.
And in keeping with their expectations, Srinu Vaitla does remind you of Dookudu, but that’s because he repeats the same theme of a cop making buffoons out of villains, instead of doing the quintessential chase-and-fight sequences.
In Dookudu, Vaitla tried to make a parody of reality shows, in Aagadu, his obsession with small screen continues and this time, he makes a parody of the various game shows in the name of situational comedy.

He starts off the first half by establishing the plot, but by the time second half begins, Vaitla gets to the job of wrapping up the story and in the process tries to add various inane situations that leave you hoping the film ends ASAP.

Given the weak script, Vaitla tries to win over the mass audience by using Brahmanandam as Delhi Suri. But instead of making you laugh, the entire thread leaves you yawning.
And one is left wondering as to why Mahesh gave in to the idea of narrating the storylines of his popular films before bashing up the villains. Though it works the first time around as you try to figure out the film, by second half, it gets repetitive and bores you to the core.
The only saving grace for the film is Mahesh and a few punch dialogues sprinkled randomly which has now become the trademark of Srinu Vaitla.

Manchu Vishnu's "Anukshanam" Movie Review

Cast: Vishnu Manchu , Revathi , Tejaswi Madivada , Madhu Shalini , Surya
Directed by : Ram Gopal Varma
Produced by : Vijay, Parthasaradhi
Banner :24 Frames Factory, AV Pictures
Music by : Seshu KMR
Release Date : 2014-09-13

Plot:
Goutam (Vishnu Manchu) is a sincere police officer who stays with his loving-wife Satya (Tejaswi). Everything goes well for him till he confronts a trouble in form of Seetharam (Surya), a cab driver-turned-serial killer who brutally murders beautiful girls in Hyderabad for pleasure. And now, Goutam launches a manhunt for Seetharam. In the mission, he is assisted by Sailaja (Revathi) who mastered in the behavioral sciences and has a knack over the psyche of pyshos.

Performances:

Vishnu Manchu: The pitch-perfect performance by film's lead protagonist Vishnu is what stands out in the film. Vishnu deserves all the laurels, accolades for choosing a film like Anukshanam. He has set a new precedent to his peers by picking such out-of-the-box story. Not many star heroes would dare to essay a role. And Vishnu seeks teeth into it. Vishnu is in good form throughout the film. He evolved as a matured-actor with this flick. Acting-wise, this could be one of the best films in Vishnu's career.

Revathi: After a long hiatus, Revathi has made her comeback. Simply put, she couldn't have better comeback. She aptly fits the bill as a psychologist.

Surya: Despite the fact that he's newcomer, he emoted well. Unless you're informed that he's debutante, you'd not know that through his acting skills.

Tejaswi: Tejaswi as Satya sizzled in brief role as Vishnu Manchu's wife.

Madhu Shalini: Madhu Shalini essays the role of TV journalist Aasha.

Others: It's tailor-made role (Home Minister) for Kota Sreenivasa Rao and Brahmanandam is passable in the film. Brahmi's role should have been etched well.

Direction: Directing a crime thriller is a cakewalk for Ram Gopal Varma and Anukshanam is no different either. Varma does it with ease. However, he continues his uncanny camera techniques, at places, but that didn't deter you at all. RGV is back with a bang with Anukshanam.

Editing: Anukshanam is slick, fast-paced. Editing is done with great finesse.

Thumbs Up:

Vishnu Manchu
RGV's expertise
Screenplay

Thumbs Down
:

Scenes involving Brahmanandam

Analysis:

Anukshanam instantly strikes a chord for reasons that are manifold. The movie's gritty realistic narration is something bolt out of the blue in Telugu films and this works in a big way for the film. At a time, T-town is running after illogical mass-masala commercial potboilers like Power, Rabhasa, one needs a lot of courage to come up with such a film which sans songs, comedy, over-the-top action episodes. Kudos to Vishnu and Varma for putting efforts in what they believed in. What forms is a Telugu film on the lines of a Hollywood film. Especially the film's pace is what hooks and engages audience throughout the film. Vishnu Manchu succeeds in keeping you on your toes.

Sample this, Goutam (Vishnu) receives a parcel sent by serial killer Seetharam (Surya) which has the "head" of a girl Nidhi Seetharam had killed. When Vishnu opens up the parcel in front of the Nidhi's boyfriend Navdeep, but he manages to conceal it. Vishnu's subtle action here takes the movie to new high. Sailaja (Revathi) too works in favour of the film.

Yet the movie has its share of stumbling blocks.Bramhanandam is a spoilsport for the film. Though he tries to but fails miserably. It's conspicuous that his role has been forcefully included. But it's passable. If you're a regular complainant about Telugu films, you must watch Anukshanam. And if you're not, still you should watch Anukshanam. It's not a routine Telugu film you get to watch every now and then.

Ravi Teja's "Power" Movie Review

Movie: Power
Rating: 3.25/5
Banner:
 Rockline Entertainments
Cast: Ravi Teja, Hansika Motwani, Regina Cassandra, Bramhanandam, Sampath, Posani Krishna Murali and Others
Music: S Thaman
Wtitten By: Kona Venkat, Mohana Krishna, K Chakravarthy
Editing: Goutham Raju
Cinematography: Jayanan Vincent
Producer: Rockline Venkatesh
Story, Screenplay, Direction: K. S. Ravindra
Release Date: September 12, 2014

It’s the season of writers turning directors. There are many who have debuted in the recent past and Power sees the debut of Bobby aka KS Ravindra who penned the highly successful Balupu among other films. The film has put immense pressure on Ravi Teja as there has been lots of speculation about his future in the industry. So, let’s see how the film has shaped up and if it will be yet another hit in Ravi Teja’s career…

Story:
The movie starts off in Kolkatta where the city’s dreaded don Ganguly (Sampath Raj) and younger brother of the state home minister Jaya Vardhan (Mukesh Rishi) is to be produced in court to be sentenced. And like in all commercial films, his cronies pay the police to let him off on the way. Enters ACP Baldev Sahay (Ravi Teja) who tries to stop them and take Ganguly to the court. This leads to a major chase sequence in hitherto untapped locations in Kolkatta and during the ensuing fight Baldev manages to stop the villains from getting hold of Ganguly. But his police jeep falls into a valley and he is reported killed in the blast and labeled a corrupt officer.
Then the scene shifts to Hyderabad where Thirupathi (Ravi Teja) is a happy-go-lucky guy whose sole dream is to become a police officer. He even dresses like a cop and settles cases in the city instead of his brother-in-law CI Animutyam (Brahmanandam). If you thought that is absurd, then you must remember it is a commercial film and nothing is impossible for the hero. One day, he meets Nirupama (Hansika) the beautiful and popular fortune changer, who promises to change the fortunes of people by giving them a miracle stone. Nirupama gives him a ring and lo and behold, life really changes forever for Thirupathi. Is Baldev alive? Will Thirupathi become a police officer? The rest of the story shows how these parallel tracks get connected and how the baddies meet their end.

Artistes’ Performances:
Ravi Teja plays the cop once again. Like in Vikramarkudu, he looks convincing as the sincere police officer and equally amiable as Thirupathi who dreams of becoming a cop. After Balupu, Power has released with lots of expectations and he does try to do his best to do justice to his characters. But age is catching up on mass maharaj and the director should have taken care not to put in too many tight shots. Otherwise, he is his usual self.
Coming to the leading ladies, Hansika looks pretty glamourous and pulls off her role with ease. She dresses well and dances well. In short, she is what the mass audience would want to see in a commercial entertainer.
Regina plays the good Samaritan Vaishnavi who runs the orphanage Aasha Foundation. Due to some misunderstanding, she walks into the life of Baldev without realizing who he is and ends up falling for him. Though her character is killed half way through the second half, Regina tries to make the most of her presence. However, due to the nature of her character, she does not get to do the usual bare all act of a commercial heroine. Instead she gets to dance around in sarees and big bindis.
As for the baddies, both Sampath Raj and Mukesh Raj put in decent performances as always. Ajay and Subbaraju as honest cops are also predictable.
Brahmanandam as Animutyam and Saptagiri as Hansika’s sidekick do manage to evoke few laughs. Kota as Baldev’s uncle is his usual best.

Technical Excellence:
Since Power falls into the typical commercial entertainer genre, all departments are well taken care of. Music is by SS Thaman and the album has a couple of mass numbers that will remain among the top 10 songs in the next few weeks.
Despite having all the commercial elements, Power falls flat due to its story. Like in many movies these days, there are two parallel tracks and when the movie ends, you are bound to leave the theatre feeling a bit disappointed. While Bobby’s debutant attempt at making a huge commercial film is laudable, he fails to hold the audiences’ attention by putting in too many twists.

Highlights:
  • A couple of songs
  • Lead actors
Drawbacks:
  • Screenplay
  • Plot
Analysis:
Story of an honest cop is a sure-shot hit at the box office, providing it has ample doses of action and entertainment. Power has enough action and romance. Still, it fails to touch the hearts of the audience. The director tries to make a classic masala dish out of Power. But the problem is that it has very little salt.
Even as the audiences try to figure out how Baldev’s track would evolve, Thirupathi is introduced. And as one tries to get into that track, the story reverts back to Kolkatta. In his attempt to come up with an interesting story, Bobby loses grip over screenplay and second half.
At a time when audiences are craving for new stories and innovative scripts, Bobby feeds them with stock characters like Baldev’s mother and ACP Goutham’s track in the flashback. While both are essential for the story, their treatment is definitely old school.
In all, Ravi Teja fans will be happy watching him play yet another mass character. But Power lacks that extra something which makes for a successful, racy commercial entertainer.

Chiru's Special Care For Ramcharan's Govindhudu Andarivadele

Kajal Aggarwal is the leading lady and Krishna Vamsi is the director.
Even before the completion of the film, producer announced the release date and the unit is currently shooting a song in London.

Vikram and Shankar's 'I' Movie Logo

The official title of Vikram-Shankar's magnum opus will be known as 'I' from now onwards instead of 'AI' which was in circulation until Today. The logo looks more or less similar to Mahesh Babu's '1 - Nenokkadine'.

Amy Jackson is playing the female lead in 'I'. Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi is playing a pivotal role. Music is by AR Rahman and Cinematography is by PC Sreeram.

'I' will have its audio launch on September 15th and Hollywood action star Arnold Schwarzenegger will be gracing the event held at Nehru Stadium on September 15th in Chennai. 'I' will be released during Diwali.

Mahesh 50 Lakhs More Than RamCharan

Hey we are not talking about their respective remunerations, were the gap could be much wider, but we are talking about the rates for their dubbed films in Hindi. Right now, Mahesh bagged highest Hindi dubbing right for "Aagadu" which fetched Rs. 4 crore, but surely Charan is closely behind his arch rival Ram Charan Tej, whose film "Govindu...' was sold for Rs. 3.5 crore, which is 50 lakhs lesser than highest price till date.

Even though, their Telugu markets have a difference of atleast 8 to 10 crores, but when it comes to Hindi dubbing rights, Charan is closely behind T-town superstar. It seems that Hindi film "Zanjeer' although was a flop, but it gave some recognition for scion of Chiru family. May be, sooner than later, Charan could touch Mahesh figure in next few films or Mahesh will stay ahead even in dubbing market rates, which would be interesting to watch out for.

Mahesh Babu's Punch Dialogues in Aagadu

Now, for the third time in his career, Mahesh Babu will be seen as a cop in Aagadu

Speaking about this film, Mahesh Babu said "This film is going to be become a super hit. My dad watched the teaser and said that this film is going to be a turning point in my career. I'm privileged to work with a director like Srinu Vaitla and the punch dialogues in the movie will be a treat to my fans".

Milky Beauty Tamanna is the leading lady and Sexy Siren Shruti Haasan will appear  in a hot item number.

Recently, the unit has completed filming a song in Switzerland and the censor work will be completed tomorrow. SS Thaman has composed the music and the songs have already entered into the chart-busters list.

Mahesh All Set To Rock In America

Superstar Mahesh Babu is going all out to reach newer sections of audiences. Already the kind of mass character, Encounter Shankar, he has picked for 'Aagadu' is a clear message that the numero uno star has set his focus on 'mass' audiences this time.

Overseas market, especially USA audiences happen to be die-hard fans of Mahesh Babu and the collections of his previous films speak volumes about it. But his craze is limited to only Telugu speaking communities unlike Hindi stars who have pan-Indian appeal as Hindi could be understood to some extent. To overcome the language barrier, Aagadu will be now releasing with English subtitles. This not only helps NRIs of other states watch the film, but will also invite Americans who are excited about watching Indian masala. Surely Mahesh will add another feather to his cap with such a plan being implemented for Aaagdu.

Madhuri Dixit in Chiru's 150 th Film??

The moment megastar Chiranjeevi declared that he would don the greasepaint and face the camera as an actor once again, tears of joy and screams of excitement spread across many mega camps. True to the frenzy, the expectations and hype over the much talked about 150th film of this star hero are touching the sky.

It was also rumored that milky Beauty Tamanna will be playing alongside chiru and Madhuri might have chances to appear in guest role.On the other hand, even Chiru once said that he missed working with Madhuri Dixit during his time. Well, these are fans wishes also so let us wait and watch who will be the lucky lady to pair with Chiru.

Many heroines’ names were surfaced to pair with chiru and few days back it was reported that Rekha might play special role in the movie. Now news has begun to make rounds that the evergreen diva Maduri dixit might be part of Chiru’s comeback venture.

After Swetha Basu, Its Divya who caught in prostitution

Heroines of less demand in films are more in demand for easy money churning dark room activities. They select prostitution for livelihood and survival of family. Swetha Basu Prasad’s arrest in scandal made entire media get busy on articulating new stories about lives of heroines and female artists in glamour ground.

Along with her another actors Pavan Kumar, Chandu and the head, who is running this sex racket also arrested.  Police raided a house in the small town of Guntur and caught the actress red handed for indulging in the crime.

If reports from some media sources to be believed one more noted heroine busted while doing prostitution. According to media sources Artist Divya Sri, who acted in the film B Tech Babu has been caught by Police for being involved in prostitution racket in a house in Guntur.

Mahesh And Charan Took That Burden

Mahesh And Charan Took That Burden

Tolllywood's star heroes are whipped by cine lovers continuously as they are not delivering more entertainment for them. This is regarding the number of movies each hero is getting released in a year. Listening to the request of audiences, it seems like Mahesh and Charan are really working hard.

Post the success of Attarintiki Daredi in 2013, Pawan is busy with politics and we could see him on silver screen for 2014 only if he comes up with Gopala Gopala. Otherwise his Gabbar Singh 2 is not in the vicinity at the moment. Coming to Allu Arujn, he's happy with Race Gurram but his next project is yet to kick off. This may not help him release another movie in 2014 itself. Prabhas' Baahubali will release in 2015 only, while he scored hit with Mirchi last year. Unlike all these big stars, Mahesh and Charan are racing ahead to deliver their second treat again in 2014.

Already these two big stars had their 1-Nenokkadine and Yevadu release for last Sankranthi. And now they will see Aagadu and Govindudu Andarivadele hitting screens for Dasara. It's time to say that Mahesh and Charan have taken the onus of entertaining audience couple of times in a year. Hope other heroes too undertake such burden and make Tollywood glitter.

Hollywood calling for Rajamouli?

Hollywood calling for Rajamouli?

If reports are to be believed, maverick director SS Rajamouli is all set to go to Hollywood. The star director, who is presently busy making epic film Baahubali, is setting his ground to foray into World's largest film industry. Buzz is that before making his Hollywood debut, Rajamouli is trying to rope in Ranbir Kapoor and Jet Li for his next project in order to prove his global mettle. It is learnt that his next film after Baahubali could be his ticket to global cinema. Rajamouli is contemplating to make epic Mahabharath in Hollywood, say reports. Rajamouli would be approaching Ranbir Kapoor and Jet Li once Baahubali part-1 hits the screens.

Meanwhile, Jakkanna is said to be in constant touch with Superstar Aamir Khan which is another possibility to make a Hindi film with him. The director of critically acclaimed films Magadheera and Eega, has carved out a niche for himself in B-town. If Baahubali 1 turns out to be blockbuster, Rajamouli will surely go to places.

Drushyam Premiere Talk

Drushyam Premiere Talk

Here is the first talk of Venkatesh and Meena starrer Drushyam, which is the Telugu remake of Malayalam film of the same name. Given that the original film was a huge hit and grossed over Rs 50 Crore in Malayalam, the movie garnered much hype and buzz in Telugu as well. While Venkatesh steps into the shoes of Mohanlal, Meena, who was part of original, plays the same role in this film as well.

Drushyam begins with Rambabu (Venkatesh) waiting in a police station. As he recollects the series of past events in his mind, the movie is narrated. Simply, put Drushyam is a crime mystery laced with family drama. Nadhiya, who played Pawan Kalyan's Atta in Attarintiki Daaredi, is surprise package in the film. She will be seen in a good role again. Director Sripriya didn't strain her brain much as she strictly followed the original film. Story-screenplay by Jeethu Joseph deserves special mention.

Although the story is predictable, what engages you till the end is its narration. Save few laughs in the first half; credit: Sapthagiri, the movie has its own share of lag moments. As the movie progresses towards the end, it concludes with a nice twist. And that twist is worth waiting for over two hours.

Two hurdles for Mahesh and Charan

Two hurdles for Mahesh and Charan

Till date, only Superstar Mahesh and Mega Powerstar Ram Charan are largely spoken when it comes to the upcoming Dasara season. Their movies are hitting the tinsel town on that eve, Mahesh's Aagadu on Sep 15th and Charan's Govindudu Andarivadele on October 1st. But this feat will not be a cake walk for them, if we bring two other star heroes into the scene.

Aagadu and Govindudu have simply got their things set nicer by meticulously planning a two week gap. Much to their surprise, on the eve of Independence Day and the ensuing weekend, Jr NTR's Rabhasa and Surya's Sikander are hitting screens on August 14 and 15 respectively. Imagine the scene for Aagadu if at all Jr NTR and Surya score big blockbusters. Mahesh's movie will fall short of theatres for sure. Though it manages to get many screens somehow, theatres at crucial centres will be missed.

And if the run of Rabhasa and Sikander continues for long and Mahesh too scores a hit with Aagadu, then that impact will surely fall on Govindudu Andarivadele. These days, films are getting released in large number of theatres, and minting their money and quitting theatres in no time. In this kind of trade scenario, it will be tough if last comers, here Mahesh and Charan in this case. Let us see how they overcome these two hurdles.

Baahubali - All Colours Changed

Ever since the talk of 175 crores budget for a two-part releasing Telugu movie, many industry bigwigs went jaw dropping. All this hype about 'Baahubali' has turned into negative talk with critics and trade pundits slamming the makers for investing a non-recoverable figures into the Rajamouli directorial. But all that negativity is simply gone now. Guess how?

A look at Baahubali's newly released special making video that talks about the one year journey of the movie has done the magic. With Rajamouli making everyone travel through what he has done at various spots like Kurnool, Kerala and a specially prepared war-turf, and through different sets he has built for the movie at Ramoji Film City and Annapurna Studios have definitely changed the whole 'color' of the rumours engulfing this movie.

Now, everyone is quite positive that Baahubali is going to be more gigantic than one had ever expected.  There is a positive buzz that if this flick is released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi then it is going to rake up more than 250 crores. Well, lets hope this positive buzz about this mammoth budgeted magnum opus lasts for long.

Babu Writes Letter to Modi, T-Govt Opposes

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to give special powers to governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Babu has asked Modi to transfer of police powers in Hyderabad to Governor ESL Narsimhan for better safety and security of people of Hyderabad.

In his letter, Chandra Babu asked Central government to take necessary steps to safeguard people living in Hyderabad and their assets. Babu requested PM to handover all special powers of safety and security to Governor in order to repose faith in people residing in Hyderabad, which is a joint capital of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Babu wrote, "The safety, security of people in joint-capital Hyderabad should be under the purview of Governor. The police in twin cities should function under Governor's monitoring. This is clearly mentioned in the AP Reorganization Bill 2013. All transfers and postings of Police department in Hyderabad, Cyberabad should also be under Governor's control. Both governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should have equal rights in postings, transfers of officials and allotment of buildings and their functioning. All these were clearly mentioned in the Telangana Bill."

Babu has asked Centre to take special care to safeguard lives of people and their assets in Hyderabad. Naturally, this letter drew ire of Telangana government and it is vehemently opposing transfer of powers to governor. T-governement made it clear that it would fight tooth and nail with Centre on the issue.

Mahesh's 'Baava' Factor Upsets Top Director?

Mahesh's 'Baava' Factor Upsets Top Director?

For the first time in his 15-year-long career Superstar Mahesh Babu has decided to do a guest appearance. Although Mahesh has lent his voice for the films of his peers like Jalsa (Pawan Kalyan-Trivikram Sreenivas) and Baadshah (Jr NTR-Sreenu Vaitla), this is first of its kind for Mahesh to do a cameo. He will be seen in special role in his brother-in-law Sudheer Babu's forthcoming film Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini. This would be a feast for Mahesh fans as they would get an opportunity to see both Mahesh Babu and Sudheer Babu together. But one man is quite upset with this and it is none other than ace director Gunasekhar.

Not long ago director Gunasekhar approached Mahesh Babu for a guest role in his upcoming magnum opus Rudhramadevi. Guna reportedly met Mahesh in London during the shooting of One Nenokkadine and briefed him about the historical role of Gona Gonnareddy. Guna was keen on roping in Mahesh and after waiting long for him, Guna had to look at other options and  finally zeroed in on Allu Arjun for the epic role.

Rumour mill is abuzz that director Gunasekhar, who has directed films like Okkadu, Arjun and Sainikudu with Mahesh, is miffed as he waited long for Mahesh and even put the shooting of Rudhramadevi on hold for Mahesh. But finally, Mahesh has "no time" for the star director who has given a big break with Okkadu. Looks like Mahesh's "Baava" factor has now hurts Gunasekhar more. Hope both Mahesh and Guna patch up the things and revive their relation.

Rabhasa is a 'Certified' Blockbuster

NTR fans are eagerly waiting for Rabhasa to hit the screens as they wanted their hero to shut the mouths of critics who have been writing him off. NTR hasn't yet talked about this film anywhere and therefore no one knows how confident young tiger is about the success of Rabhasa. However fans are elated to know that Samantha is pretty sure about the success of this film.

Samantha has a knack of judging the outcome of a film prior to the release. She raves about the movies that she is confident of. Samantha used to get so excited about movies like Eega, Attarintiki Daredi and Manam while they were under production. She never talked about Ramayya Vastavayya as she didn't have confidence in it.

Samantha got it right every time and therefore her opinion matters now. She confidently stated that Rabhasa is going to be a complete meal for everyone. She is betting on Rabhasa to give her yet another blockbuster. If Rabhasa turns out to be a big hit then Samantha will be under pressure to predict the results of all her future projects.
