Baahubali! Fling Sword, Not Voice

Projects like Baahubali are once in a life time, especially if one is a Telugu hero in the present generation. We have come long way from making historical, fairy-tale and mythological flicks, and these days only six-song-three-fight movies are clicking well. Let's get straight to the point now.

Director Rajamouli might not have found an apt choice for Baahubali role other than Prabhas. He is not just hunk, but got that body language to catapult himself as a fierce warrior on battle field. However, what is happening with our new age mythical flicks is that we are dependent more on punch dialogues than the actual action sequences. This is not the case with Telugu flick, but our Hindi and Tamil counterparts are also resorting to same thing.

Unlike Hollywood battlefield scenes, where the spat of swords and clash of shields sound more interest, here our heroes stand in the middle to deliver a hair rising dialogue. The big hope now is that at least Prabhas will put a full stop to such 'voice' stuff and will shine and shout more with his sword flinging. There should be a day and a movie to prove that our swordsmen are mightier than Hollywood's too.

Hope Prabhas and Rajamouli will work in that direction rather making another commercial pot-boiler though in an age of kings' backdrop.
