Mahesh 50 Lakhs More Than RamCharan

Hey we are not talking about their respective remunerations, were the gap could be much wider, but we are talking about the rates for their dubbed films in Hindi. Right now, Mahesh bagged highest Hindi dubbing right for "Aagadu" which fetched Rs. 4 crore, but surely Charan is closely behind his arch rival Ram Charan Tej, whose film "Govindu...' was sold for Rs. 3.5 crore, which is 50 lakhs lesser than highest price till date.

Even though, their Telugu markets have a difference of atleast 8 to 10 crores, but when it comes to Hindi dubbing rights, Charan is closely behind T-town superstar. It seems that Hindi film "Zanjeer' although was a flop, but it gave some recognition for scion of Chiru family. May be, sooner than later, Charan could touch Mahesh figure in next few films or Mahesh will stay ahead even in dubbing market rates, which would be interesting to watch out for.

Shruti eyeing on a 'Mega' Hat-trick

Shruthi Haasan was lucky enough to bag Gabbar Singh film while she was running through rough phase in her career. That film's success has turned the cards for Shruthi and she has reached the top league of heroines in Tollywood. She built a career on Gabbar Singh's success and hits like Balupu and Yevadu followed.

Shruti Haasan started off with Pawan Kalyan's film and immediately bagged a film each with Charan and Allu Arjun, the other in form mega heroes. Earlier Tamanna did this feat by doing films with all the three mega heroes. Tamanna failed to score hits with Allu Arjun and Pawan Kalyan though.

Shruti turned out to be lucky mascot for mega heroes. She scored hits with both Pawan and Charan. She is hoping to complete Mega hat-trick by scoring a hit with Allu Arjun's Race Gurram too. In this film she is also crooning for a mass song that goes 'Dum Dum Duppa Duppa'. May be it is time for second round for Mega heroes with Shruti, what say?

'Paisa' Review: It's Like Rupee Value

Film: Paisa
Rating: 2.5/5
Banner:
 Yellow Flowers
Cast: Nani, Catherine, Siddhika Sharma, Charan Raj, Raja Ravindra, Bharath, Tabar, Raju, Duvvasi Mohan, Harikrishna, Upen Reddy and others
Music: Sai Karthik
Cinematographer: Santosh Rai
Editor: Thyagarajan
Director: Krishna Vamsi
Producer: Puppala Ramesh
Release date: 07/02/2014
After the disastrous ‘Mogudu’ director Krishna Vamsi is teaming up with hero Nani who was last seen in ‘Eega’ and was desperate for getting onscreen. Let us see whether this combo worked or not.
Story
Prakash (Nani) is a streetsmart Sherwani model in the old city who believes that money rules the world. His dream is to earn 1 crore and settle. Noor (Catherine) is a girl in the neighbourhood who loves Prakash to the core but he doesn’t acknowledge her feelings. One day Prakash comes across Sweety (Siddhika), daughter of a wealthy politician (Charan Raj) and feels she is his ticket to settle in life. But one incident happens and that ends up with Prakash and Noor on the run along with huge money bags belonging to Sweety’s father. How that happens and where it leads forms the rest of the tale.
Performances
Nani is the cynosure of the entire movie and he carries it on his shoulders with responsibility. His ease and dialogue delivery makes him a natural performer and he delivered it without a hitch.
Catherine is a deserving beauty. She is the perfect package of attraction and sex appeal. Most of her feelings are conveyed through her eyes and she fits the role very well.
Siddhika Sharma was there for the visual feast and she did justice to it. Good to see Charan Raj back in action and he was good. Bharath Reddy was effective.
Raja Ravindra stood out with his role. Subrahmanyam was adequate. The guys who did Nani’s friends roles gave a committed act. Others filled the gaps and added value.
Highlights
  • Screenplay
  • Cinematography
  • Background score
Drawbacks
  • Second half
  • Familiar concept
  • Insufficient entertainment quotient
Analysis
Whether it has to do with the DNA of those who belong to Ram Gopal Varma’s school or it was the case of pure grit and determination to score, the genre of racy thriller laced with crime and practical greed comes really smooth and fine with some filmmakers.
Krishna Vamsi who was in hibernation since quite a while and gave a massive bomb with ‘Mogudu’ seems to have attempted his comfortable genre.
As such, this film tends to give a déjà vu feeling since we have already seen something similar in ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ but there are those flashes of brilliance that come from KV which is his unique signature style.
The scene composition, camera angles, slow motion shots and the total color of the film is very appealing to the eyes.
However, the amount of energy and adrenalin he has pumped through his screenplay required more strength. Though commercial masala is part of this product, Krishna Vamsi has not forgotten to display his philosophy of life through certain scenes such as Nani giving Gyan to his friends about the duration of love and how real life consumes it with daily responsibilities and how money is the spinal cord for every happiness.
There is also that ruggedness in certain characters which has been seen in his earlier ventures like ‘Sindhooram’ ‘Antahpuram’ and others.
The opening few minutes of the film doesn’t waste any time and gets the audience into the story. It is not until the interval caption that one realizes that first half is over.
But trouble begins in second half. It could not sustain the same speed and had a dip which eventually played the spoilsport.
The songs were more forced into the situation to kill the time.
The RR was louder than required and the focus was more on action than providing balanced entertainment.
The director could able to bring in interest in a few scenes but suddenly dips down.
Overall, Krishna Vamsi has tapped the element of human greed for money so while it appeals to the masses it doesn’t have enough for other genre of audience to like it.
Bottomline: Average treat

'Double Hit' Eluding Mega Heroes Since 1998

Releasing two flicks in the same calendar year and scoring blockbusters with both of them is what we call a 'double hit'. This feat is not happening after the golden year 1998, and mega camp is seriously thinking about it.

At a time when Megastar Chiranjeevi is in best of his form, he delivered Baavagaru Bagunnaru and Chudalandi Vundi in the same year, ie 1998. Both the movies are super hits at box office without any looking back. In the same year, Pawan too released his Suswagatham and Toliprema whose hits have catapulted him into a new star in the making. But after 16 years of that feat, Mega heroes are still struggling to score one such 'phenomenon' again.

In 2013, Charan came with Nayak and Thoofan, and only there is one hit. Of course, this year he got scope if Krishna Vamsi's movie releases. For Allu Arjun, he released Varudu and Vedam in 2010 and got disappointed. So, which mega hero is going to give a double hit now? With Chiru out of the game, we have to see how his family members take the onus of recreating that magic, which is eluding them since 1998.

Yevadu key 'twist' leaked!

Yevadu movie is finally hitting screens on 12th of this month and the team is pretty confident that it will strike right chords with the audience. Recently released theatrical trailer is impressive. It gave an impression that this movie is a full 'package' of all the necessary commercial ingredients.

Yevadu movie runs in a commercial format but has a novel point that 'surprises' the viewers. Although Yevadu team has been safeguarding the secret about the key twists in the story, filmy circles are aware of it. Few websites have also mentioned about the twists in Yevadu.

Surprisingly, team Yevadu has leaked the 'secret' all by themselves. The newly released song teaser of 'Cheliya cheliya' song gives an idea about the plot of the movie. We all know that Kajal is paired up with Allu Arjun in this film. But in this song Ram Charan visualizes Kajal in a pathos mood thus giving a biggest clue about the story of the film. If you haven't guessed it by now then be prepared to be surprised in the theaters.

But this is not an intelligent move by the makers. Never reveal such biggest secrets prior to the release, it kills the wow factor and also lessens the impact of important twists.

Charan And Vamsi Picking Lucky Mascots

Till date there are doubts about this mega project, but with director Krishna Vamsi, producer Bandla Ganesh and hero Srikanth performing Puja at various holy shrines in AP with the script-file, it is confirmed that the project is going to start soon. Mega hero Ram Charan's multi-starrer flick is the one we are talking about, here goes the lucky mascot theory about this project.

With sensuous Kajal Agarwal opting out of this flick citing various issues, Charan might have looked at milky beauty as the best possible option. Because the red-hot 'rain' pair delivered 'Rachha' earlier. Though the content of that flick is quite average, the film stood in top 10 grosser of Tollywood, and that's way Charan feels Tamanna is her lucky mascot. In a way, milky beauty is an ideal heroine for Mega Powerstar for the kind of commercial values she adds in glamour department.

Coming to Krishnavamsi, insiders are quick to reveal that Venkatesh hasn't opted out the movie actually, but our director thought that hero Srikanth would be much apt than him. As KV and Srikanth delivered Khadgam and Mahatma earlier, they got nice rapport and that is also a sort of sentiment. Also Srikanth is a proven aide of Mega family, and his proximity with Chiranjeevi both in reel and real life says it all.

This mega project will roll out soon, and details about it are expected soon!!

Ramcharan confirms Yevadu release date on Facebook!!

Mega Power Star most awaited ‘Yevadu’ movie release date has been delayed numerous times and recently Producer Dil Raju announced that the movie will hit the screents on December 19th. However, the release date not yet confirmed and sources said that that’s not the final date.

Now hero Ram Charan has taken a step to announce the release date on his Facebook few hours back. Charan updated his status with release date as,

“The wait is finally over! Bringing in Sankranti earlier for all of you with Yevadu releasing on the 12th of Jan.. Hope you celebrate the festivities with us..””

Fans were happy with the news as it was confirmed by their hero itself.Although the movie was postponed for many times, finally it's releasing in a right time.

Directed by Vamsi Pidipally, "Yevadu" is touted to be an action-packed entertainer. The Ram Charan starrer has Shruti Haasan, Amy Jackson and Sai Kumar in pivotal roles. Allu Arjun and Kajal Aggarwal also make special appearances in the film.

Trade Analyst says ‘Vamsi Paidipally has done the fantastic job for making different style and different feel created in that movie

Yevadu May Not Fear That Blackmail

Reportedly some distributors from overseas circuits are heard blackmailing producer Dil Raju to shift 'Yevadu' release date to a later time. They are heard saying that if Yevadu hits screens along with Mahesh Babu's '1-Nenokkadine' there will be shortage of theatres in USA, and also they are talking low about Charan's market stamina.

All these USA distributors are making predictions about Mahesh and Charan's Sankranthi 2014 releases, basing on the outputs of Naayak and Seethamm Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. As SVSC bagged around 8+ crores in US market, and Naayak settled for 2.5+ crores collections, distributors fear that Mahesh will take over the lead again. Though SVSC was a trendsetter at US box office in 2012, Charan got advantage in local market due to the mass-elements and entertainment factor present in his  flick. Cut to the present, what matters the most for 1-Nenokkadine and Yevadu is their entertainment factor. For now, what we could read from the posters and teasers of these two movies is that both have some serious content. So, let us wait for the race to happen to conclude the winner, but we can't straight away say that Mahesh got the edge. Because, both these star heroes have fair share of disasters too in local and overseas box office.

On the flip side, local distributors are preparing for Yevadu on January 9th/10th by giving green signal to producer Dil Raju. They say that these US distributors should fetch theatres at any chance, but shouldn't blackmail producer to postpone the flick from holiday season. It is heard that Dil Raju is on the lookout for new distributor for Yevadu in overseas market.

Ram Charan On Bench In 2014!

It appears that the career position of hero Ram Charan is in somewhat tricky position. After his last venture ‘Zanjeer/Thoofan’ became a disaster at the box office, the mega fans and Charan have pinned all their hopes on his new movie ‘Yevadu’ but the film is dangling in mid air not sure of its release date. But here is one talk making rounds. Sources say ‘Yevadu’ is being planned for release in January and this is a strategy developed by producer Allu Aravind.

As being said, during Pongal if it comes okay but at the same time another talk is still on about the film arriving on December 19th, 2013. So, if December it comes then there will be no new release of Charan in 2014. The reason being, it is not sure when Krishna Vamsi will start and complete his new venture with Charan. And if that doesn’t get completed by 2014 then it would mean that Charan will be on bench without any release next year. For now, let us wait to see when ‘Yevadu’ arrives.

New Heroine for Cherry, Old one for Venky

If the latest talk is to be believed, Mega Power Star Ram Charan is going to romance a first time heroine in his up next film to be directed by Krishna Vamsi. Vamsi is apparently keen to rope in a new face for the rural girl role in his yet-to-be-titled film.

Vamsi is hunting for a girl who has an image of girl-next -door and close to the looks of a country girl.

On the other side, we hear that a known heroine will play Venky's love interest in the film and the name doing the rounds is Nayanthara.

If all goes according to the plan, the film will have a muhurat in next month and will start shooting from January. Bandla Ganesh, who was suppose to produce a film with Charan and Koratala Siva, is producing this film as a compensation.
