Mahesh Babu is a superstar and one flop does not change that. There are many people who are dying to see him once again on screen. Little wonder that the producers are vying to get his dates. The latest news from Film Nagar is that Mahesh has been given a huge sum as advance by Bhavya Creations. Talk is that out of the Rs 18 crores as remuneration, he has been given Rs 8 crore as advance.
But the film will go on to the sets only after he wraps up Puri’s film and the next one with Trivikram. This film will be produced by Radhakrishna. If that happens, then Bhavya Creations will have to wait for almost two years. Though it is not clear if they will wait or make another film meanwhile, it is quite common for producers to give advance to Mahesh just to block his dates. Incidentally, Ashwini Dutt’s film which was planned at the time of Khaleja, hasn’t started as yet.
Allu Arjun is currently busy in wrapping up Race Gurram, which is expected to release in February next year. Arjun's next is under Trivikram direction and that will start rolling from January. Meanwhile Allu Arjun has reportedly okayed another project. Director Gopichand Malineni will direct Allu Arjun soon.
Gopichand and Arjun film is on cards for a while. This film was supposed to go to sets right after Race Gurram. But Trivikram's film came in between and Gopichand's movie has been pushed a little. However, Allu Arjun has recently listened to the script of this film and waved green to Gopichand. This film is expected to start rolling from summer and it may hit the screens for next pongal. Allu Arjun will have two releases this year. Race Gurram is coming in February and Trivikram's film will be out in Dussera season. Dil Raju is producing Allu Arjun, Gopichand Malineni film. This is going to be third film for Bunny on Dil Raju's banner after Arya and Parugu. He did a cameo in Yevadu too.

Now that the verdict is loud and clear that 'AD' has become a history-making hit, as Telugu audience all over the world lapped it up, lets check out few facts about the content and was wafer-thin plot, deserving enough to top the collection charts of 80-years of Telugu cinema. Even though, many attributed it to Pawan's magnetic presence and performance but few attributed to director Trivikram's tactfully crafted humour-ridden screenplay and punch lines, some good music and Brahmanandam and Ali's witty moments adding to it, but many feel that still some novelty and magic was definitely missing and success was unexpected to this scale.
Considering its familiar plot, even Pawan would have been taken by pleasant surprise, with such a massive turnouts, since the plot of a youngster returning to India, to take his aunt, who was discarded by her rich father post her marriage, was not as refreshing to crow about, although, it had its share of good emotional moments but not enough to deserve to be ranked as the best script. This analysis is necessary because, landmark hits, inspire young filmmakers, to work hard and dig out larger-than-life and novel scripts, but in this case, they would have walked back home, feeling much lighter, since adding more comedy characters and better to evoke fun as much as possible (bereft of any boring moment) would pay well with Telugu audience and many a director would have would have begun the exercise of diluting their good scripts, by adding more fun element, to their imaginative plots, to cater to fun-loving Telugu viewers. If they begin to believe that the 'formula for success' is to have more fun, even contrived, over digging out a fresh plot, then it be very unfortunate for Telugu cinema's Gen X viewers. Although, it's one of few films, to have given profits to the producer, distributor, exhibitor and to the last man- who collects parking fee in theatres, but content wise, it cant be emulated, as the text book to follow up on, since such themes have already been tested by earlier T-town makers nor it had a path-breaking screenplay either. Usually, exciting plot (read head) should pull a film, but in this case tail (read comedy) that pulled it off and set an unhealthy precedent. Although, not as a direct comparison, but still Magadheera, the earlier top grosser, although rode on tested plot of -reincarnation- but was enhanced by visual splendor and Rajamouli's midas touch with lot of efforts in terms of periodic look, ambience and breathtaking moments, made it worthy of a record-breaking hit and invariably received kudos from Bollywood and Kollywood. Whereas, Trivikram was lucky enough to get the top chair, with lesser effort, because he has delivered better scripts like 'Athadu' before, while his latest offering had gaping holes and looked contrived at times, so may be, he should also thank God, for enabling him to surpass milestone record. 'Most of the Telugu audience love to pay big money, if they are entertained, unmindful of novelty in the plot or even it could be a repetitive plot, but adore any film that keeps them laughing all through, kind of paisa vasool, so Pawan-Trivikram got it right, that's the key' says a leading producer. With this kind of mindset, T-town can't take on the new-age filmmakers of Bollywood on even Kollywood and wouldn't be able to shrug off its image as a industry that churns out routine stuff. And if anybody, wants to try out something different, would also be counseled and influenced, to tamper their scripts and emulate so-called hit movies. That would surely kill the excitement of novel filmmakers and would force them to trek the beaten path.

Actually, Attarintiki Daredi has become the top grosser, purely on Pawan Kalyan's magic and Trivikram Srinivas crispy publicity and good family added to it, it has become the first big telugu film to cash on the new admissions rates of around 30% to 50% hiked few months ago, and it clearly reflected in its record breaking collections.
Apparently, It becomes the top grosser in the annals of Telugu cinema by virtue of collecting more than Rs. 85 crores-plus (net collections) and still counting in theatrical collections across the world and leaves earlier top blockbusters like Magadheera (65 crores) and Dhookudu (60 crores) and Gabbar Singh (60 crores) far far behind. A tentative break-up for the collections and new and unprecedented records in Andhra Pradesh and also in overseas and Karanataka and still doing well in some centres. 1. Nizam area- 24 plus crores2. Andhra region- 30 plus crores including Rs 5 crores plus in Vizag, 4 crores in Guntur and other centers. 3. Ceded region- 13 plus crores 4. Overseas- 12 plus crores 5. Karnataka- 7 plus crores. So for now, Pawan, is the undisputed Numero Uno star in T-town and it will take many years to break this records, since Pawan took nearly 4 to 5 years to surpass his kin charan's records of Magadheera. Now its turn of Mahesh or Ram Charan or jr NTR to take on this mighty collections. That would be an hectic and daunting task.

Trivikram is on cloud nine with gigantic success of Attarintiki Daredi. Every superstar wants to work with Trivikram as he is in top form and probably at the peak of his career as director. However, it is not that easy to make a film with Trivikram at the moment. As per sources he is asking for Rs. 12 crore as remuneration now.
Besides that he is asking for a minimum of Rs. 50 crore budget even if the hero is a newcomer or a relatively small star. If the hero is a superstar then the budget estimate will shoot up to Rs. 60 to Rs. 65 crore. Trivikram believes that his films have a market range of over Rs. 50 crore at the moment, says the buzz.Trivikram is known for making family entertainers, but he always makes sure that the quality of his film is superior to other films. He never compromises on a frame and spends lot on the set up and other minute things. It is okay to spend Rs. 50 crore until the film is a sure shot blockbuster. What if the film fails at the box office? Producer will have to bear the risk of minimum Rs.15 crore.

Who is the number one director in Telugu cinema industry now? Most of them would say Rajamouli going by his track record. Although Rajamouli has hundred percent track record and tries to make films of high quality and yearns for taking the Telugu cinema to next level, he makes films at his own pace.Rajamouli can make one film for two years at the best. This pace is not enough for Telugu film industry where more than hundred films are made every year. Directors of Rajamoul's caliber need to make at least one film every year for the sake of business. Scoring a success is important and also maintaining the pace is equally essential in Tollywood.Trivikram, who used to take his own time for every film in the past, has changed a lot. He made Julayi and Attarintiki Daredi in less than seven months. Julayi was a super hit and AD is now the new number one hit of Telugu cinema. Trivikram took less than a year for script and making of Attarintiki Daredi. Whereas Rajamouli takes nothing short of two years for each movie. Trivikram also has enviable success percentage. Only Khaleja didn't do well and all the remaining films of his were successful. He has the best track record in overseas region and is on par with any superstar. With Julayi and AD, Trivikram has caught the pulse of Telugu masses and there is no stopping him if he continues to entertain us in this fashion.

If a Telugu movie extracts Rs. 20 crores in the native market itself, it is a comfortably handsome rewarding amount for a movie and it is considered to be hit and the producer would be happy.
But what if a movie just makes that amount for its overseas market? It is nothing but a splendid and never broken record in the near future. That record has been set by the latest movie of Pawan Kalyan's Attarintiki Daaredi. Every body are appreciating Hero Pawan and the Director and writer Trivikram for making this magic of business. The Attarintiki daaredi paved its own way even to overseas just by reaping an amount of Rs. 20 crores, where as the previous record was Rs. 5 crores by Magadheera.
