Shruti Haasan Dating Cricketer?

According to grapevine, spicy beauty Shruti Haasan, who is scaling heights in Tollywood and Bollywood these days, is said to be dating an Indian cricketer. If we have to believe the reports published in a top Mumbai media, it seems true.

All these days we are noticing that Shruti Haasan is a regular at the IPL matches played by Chennai Super Kings team. Publicly she declared that her support always goes to CSK, though she lives in Mumbai her heart is full of Chennai. Now it is heard that she isn't just a supporter of CSK but also in love with Chennai team's star cricketer Suresh Raina. Our beautiful lady is not seen watching IPL at stadium this year, but still she makes sure that she catches up with Raina whenever time permits. Of course, cine-celebs and cricketers go hand-in-hand and if we have seen many such relations in the past.

Shruti is yet to react on the report published in Mumbai Media, with the report claiming that close sources have confirmed that Shruti and Raina are love-couple. After some high octane rumoured love stories of Harbhajan-Geeta Basra, Virat Kohli- Anushka  Sharma, this latest couple joins the cricketer-actor list.

Race Gurram Movie Review

Banner :Lakshmi Narasimha Productions
Music by : Thaman
Release Date : 2014-04-11

Race Gurram Movie Review

Allu Arjun's Race Gurram showed so much promise with the trailers and audio. Surender Reddy's previous film Oosaravelli failed to entertain. He is back to Kick mode in this film. Did he get it right this time? Did this horse win the Race?

What is it about?

Lucky (Allu Arjun) is a happy go lucky guy who doesn't like his elder brother Ram (Kick Shyam) at all. Ram is a police officer and Lucky is a mischief monger. One of Lucky's naughty acts saves Ram from a fatal accident. Ram isn't aware of that, but Lucky comes to know that a politician Shiva Reddy (Ravi Kishan) is trying to kill his brother. Lucky confronts Shiva Reddy and then starts the race.

Performances:
Allu Arjun owned this film in each and every frame. He just sleepwalked through the film with an amazing ease. He has excelled in comedy with impeccable timing. Deyvudaa mannerism will be the buzz word for college youth for sure. Allu Arjun did a Raviteja in terms of energy in this film. This will be remembered as one of his best performances. Kick Shyam is good as Bunny's brother. He has limited expressions though. Shruti Haasan is alright. Her dances will surprise one and all. She just mastered the mass dance moves.

Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan is one of the weak links of this film. He failed to impress in the key scenes. A powerful villain could have done world of good to this film. Prakash Raj's role was weird and abruptly ended. Brahmanandam steals the show in the penultimate scenes. Tanikella Bharani, Posani, JP, MS everyone chipped in whenever required.

Technicalities:

Surender Reddy is at home dealing with comedy scenes. He made more action films in his career, but Surender offers quality comedy. There are few hilarious scenes in the film. However director failed to get the balance right. Comedy, Sentiment and Action didn't go hand in hand. Music by Thaman is good. Two songs stand out in the film. Boochade and Cinema Choopista are instant chartbusters. Background score is not up to the mark. Action is loud. They should have composed some decent fights. Those explosive action episodes are out of sync with rest of the movie. Cinematography is good. Editing could have been better.

Thumbs Up:

Allu Arjun and few Comedy scenes

Thumbs Down:

Beaten to death plot
Lethargic screenplay

Analysis:

Race Gurram has its positives and also has its share of negatives. This film is strictly one time watch for those are craving for entertainment. Movie lovers may not be pleased with this pop corn entertainment and the film that doesn't take itself seriously. Penultimate scenes looks like they are straight out of some parody film ala Hrudaya Kaleyam.

Leave your brains at home is the theme of this film and don't ever look for logic or you will be left deeply hurt. The makers took the audience's thinking capabilities for granted and churned out some illogical and sometimes overtly stupid scenes. Allu Arjun has come to the rescue of the film at many instances. He single handedly pulled the film to the climax.

Ever reliable Brahmanandam took it off from there to make it an average fare. You have seen it all before. There is nothing that is better or new in this film. Most of Raviteja's movies are made this way. If you want to see someone like Bunny in a Raviteja brand mass entertainer, then this film is exactly for you. Releasing during the peak summer season will help Race Gurram's prospects at box office. We expect more from this promising combination, but what they offered was an average comedy entertainer with a silly antagonist.

Mahesh Babu Quits Mani Ratnam Movie!!

An interesting and yet shocking development is being heard about ace Indian film maker Mani Ratnam's movie that is to feature both Superstar Mahesh and romantic hero Nagarjuna in the leads. Also big names like Aishwarya Rai, Shruti Haasan and Asin are heard regarding this project. Here is a quick update about this colourful movie.

For the second time in his career, Mahesh is dropping out from being part of Mani Ratnam's movie, say sources. Though Nagarjuna is working with Mani in the projects, it appears like only Mahesh Babu is out of it. Already the makers are searching for a suitable hero to be brought into Mahesh's shoes. Being a film of top stars and by acclaimed director, why did Mahesh opt out of it? as per reports, Mahesh is unable to provide the huge chunk of dates demanded by Mani Ratnam. After wrapping up of Aagadu, Mahesh needs to work on UTV-Koratala Siva project, and then he got a film with Puri Jagan in the pipeline. If Mahesh allots dates for Mani Ratnam's movie, then he will not be able to work on both UTV project and Puri's own production.

Citing his inability to adjusts dates, it is heard that Mahesh bid adieu to Mani Ratnam's movie. Earlier too, our superstar is supposed to drop in a period flick directed by Mani, but he opted out of it due to creative issues. But Mani hasn't took off that project with any other hero

Shruti's Gabbar Singh payment still pending?

Even though, Shruti Haasan expressed her desire to team up with Ram Charan again for his next film under Krishna Vamsi and even listened to the script, but she later dropped out. And the reported reason is producer Bandla Ganesh! Well, you heard it right. Our inside sources claim that Bandla Ganesh didn't give full remuneration to Shruti for her work in "Gabbar Singh".

Despite being a blockbuster, producer made agents of Shruti to make rounds to his office, but was in vain, as he didn't clear around Rs 8 lakh balance amount. Once bitten Shruti, shied away from the project given that Ganesh is unfair. Big question is why didn't Pawan Kalyan, who could dictate Ganesh, didn't involve in this issue and get justice done for Shruti Haasan? Film Nagar folks are ridiculing that "Anyayam" in Pawan's Rajyam! Let's see whether Pawan reacts on this now or not!

Shruti eyeing on a 'Mega' Hat-trick

Shruthi Haasan was lucky enough to bag Gabbar Singh film while she was running through rough phase in her career. That film's success has turned the cards for Shruthi and she has reached the top league of heroines in Tollywood. She built a career on Gabbar Singh's success and hits like Balupu and Yevadu followed.

Shruti Haasan started off with Pawan Kalyan's film and immediately bagged a film each with Charan and Allu Arjun, the other in form mega heroes. Earlier Tamanna did this feat by doing films with all the three mega heroes. Tamanna failed to score hits with Allu Arjun and Pawan Kalyan though.

Shruti turned out to be lucky mascot for mega heroes. She scored hits with both Pawan and Charan. She is hoping to complete Mega hat-trick by scoring a hit with Allu Arjun's Race Gurram too. In this film she is also crooning for a mass song that goes 'Dum Dum Duppa Duppa'. May be it is time for second round for Mega heroes with Shruti, what say?

Yevadu Is Not Alone, It Got Friends

Producer Dil Raju is too intelligent to plan that he will get a creme of weeks at box office, to run his 'Yevadu' without any competition. Featuring Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan, the film is supposed to hit theatres on December 19th without any fail. But all days are not ours.

Though Ram Charan's 'Yevadu' is planned like a solo release in the third week of December, it is becoming a distant dream now. Reports have that Naga Chaitanya's latest movie is also aiming the same time, Dec 20th, for a blazing release at Tollywood box office.  Already Deva Katta directed 'Auto Nagar Surya' trailer got nice reviews from all circles and the film is actually creating expectations now though there is zero hype till now. Anyway, releasing alone and scoring big is not something in the book of Charan as he always got some competitors for him. So, let 'Yevadu' come along with some friends.

Big thing is that, distributors have already made their minds for December 19th release, but the discussions related to T-bill in winter session of Parliament are shaking the positioning of this flick for sure.
