Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to give special powers to governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Babu has asked Modi to transfer of police powers in Hyderabad to Governor ESL Narsimhan for better safety and security of people of Hyderabad.
In his letter, Chandra Babu asked Central government to take necessary steps to safeguard people living in Hyderabad and their assets. Babu requested PM to handover all special powers of safety and security to Governor in order to repose faith in people residing in Hyderabad, which is a joint capital of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.Babu wrote, "The safety, security of people in joint-capital Hyderabad should be under the purview of Governor. The police in twin cities should function under Governor's monitoring. This is clearly mentioned in the AP Reorganization Bill 2013. All transfers and postings of Police department in Hyderabad, Cyberabad should also be under Governor's control. Both governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should have equal rights in postings, transfers of officials and allotment of buildings and their functioning. All these were clearly mentioned in the Telangana Bill."Babu has asked Centre to take special care to safeguard lives of people and their assets in Hyderabad. Naturally, this letter drew ire of Telangana government and it is vehemently opposing transfer of powers to governor. T-governement made it clear that it would fight tooth and nail with Centre on the issue.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu, who is revered as the most experienced and senior politician, is living up to the expectations. He is proving that people of Seemandhra are wise in electing him as the first Chief Minister of the State. Babu who just finished off the first Assembly session is not in a mood to take any break from his work. He is all set to go to New Delhi on Thursday. His visit has much significance as Naidu is going to ask "more" help from Union government in building new capital city for Andhra Pradesh and other funds to develop the state from the beginning.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu's pets scheme- loan waiver scheme- is going to cost a bomb for the new state. As per the reports, waiver of crop loans, agricultural loans, gold loans, is expected to cost Rs 30,000 Crore. Kotiaha Committee, which was constituted to look into possibilities and challenges of loan waiver, has met Chandra Babu Naidu at his residence. Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Agricultura Minister Pathipati Pullarao were also present at meeting.
As per the committee's recommendations, if a farmer has more than one loan, efforts are being made to waive only one loan so that other farmers also be benefitted. However, discussions are going on over the limit of loan whether it is Rs 1 Lakh or Rs 1.5 Lakh. Sources in the know confide that the limit would be Rs 1.5 Lakh. If a farmer has debts more than Rs 1.5 Lakh, government will only pay upto Rs 1.5 Lakh and the remaining has to be paid by the farmer himself. Both agricultural loans and Dwacra loans are going to be a burden of over Rs 30,000 crore.since AP government is not in a position to pay total amount at once, government is mulling over to pay some amount in first phase and want to issue bonds for the remaining. Since RBI is opposing the option of issuing bonds, government is chalking out a new option. Authoirties may ask farmers to repay the remaining amount and issue bonds to farmers and government will slowly reimburse the amount to farmers. For instance, if government is willing to waive of Rs 1.5 Lakh loan, it will pay Rs 75,000 initially and may ask respective ones to pay Rs 75,000 on their own and the government will repay it to farmer in instalments. Kotaiaha Commitee is going to meet RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan in New Delhi on Tuesday followed by meeting Union Finance Secretary over the issue. Chandra Babu Naidu has already chalked out a plan to generate revenue in order to waive of loans. Efforts are being made to sell Red Sandal in government handover and if that is not sufficient, he make look at the option of making new debts.

According to highly reliable sources in TDP, actor-turned-politician Murali Mohan, who won as Rajahmundry MP in recent Lok Sabha polls, is all set for bigger role in Narendra Modi's government. Sources confine that Murali Mohan would be given a Central Ministry in Modi's cabinet. Meanwhile, senior most TDP leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju is in race for Cabinet berth in Modi's cabinet.
Murali Mohan recently met Narendra Modi along with TDP supremo Chandra Babu Naidu and Modi apparently given assurance to Murali Mohan on allotting helping Ministry. Murali Mohan has been a staunch TDP supporter and he lost to Congress MP Undavalli Arun Kumar in 2009 elections with a very slender majority.Looks like, good days are ahead for Murali Mohan. Unlike before, TDP is expected to play a larger role in NDA and BJP's government this time around considering the bond Modi and Babu share. Let's see how far Modi-Babu combine work for newly formed Seemandhra.

Poor Pawan Kalyan, he has committed a political faux pas once again and has come under the radar of his staunch critics. Speaking at a public gathering, Pawan Kalyan went a step ahead and said that there was no Telangana issue during Chandra Babu Naidu’s term. Pawan had concluded that the issue gained momentum during YSR’s term as the Telangana people were not happy with his governance.
Now, if one sets aside people’s anger with YSR’s regime, it is quite interesting to note that Pawan has got his history wrong. Is Pawan really unaware of the fact that TRS head K Chandra Sekhara Rao had resigned as the deputy speaker and TDP MLA to start the Telangana movement? It is indeed surprising to see Pawan Kalyan being so ignorant about the developments in Telangana in his effort to support and promote the TDP head Chandra Babu Naidu.

Pawan Kalyan has made an emotional speech today in Anantapur. Speaking at the public gathering furious Pawan said, "Before I die, I want to see Rayalaseema as developed place. I want this to happen before I take my last breath. I knew that this won't happen if corrupt leaders like Jagan occupy the throne. This is possible only when TDP comes to power. Chandra Babu Naidu will turn Ralla Seema into Ratnala Seema again."
In his blistering attack against Jagan Mohan Reddy, Pawan said, "Even before becoming CM, Jagan has amassed crores of rupees, looted public properties and grabbed acres of land. If he becomes CM, nothing will remain for people. He may resort to physical attacks against his rivals, opponents. He will have power, money, everything to threaten common man. People will suffer more if Jagan comes to Power. Jagan has no right to be CM of Seemandhra as he himself is a total failure when it comes to safeguarding Seemandhra people residing in Hyderabad. I didn't like his party's ideology as its sole aim is to come to power and they would do anything for it."Pawan Kalyan didn't spare late CM Rajasekhar Reddy too. "Rajasekhar Reddy was the root cause for all problems including Telangana tangle. People of Telangana felt oppressed and looted during his tenure. All the consequences and sub consequences are because of Rajasekhar Reddy, Jagan either directly or indirectly." Pawan made it clear that Telangana is formed because of Jagan's power-hunger politics. He added that Sonia has given T-state keeping it would bank on Jagan's party in Seemandhra and they had a deal and that's why Jagan came out of jail. Pawan listed out the names of TDP candidates in Anantapur and asked people to vote for them.Overall, Pawan's point-blank speech got thunderous response from public and it is buzzed that these crowds will certainly turn into votes. Unarguably, Pawan's magic is going to work in large way in Seemandhra and likely to play spoilsport for Jagan Reddy's wicked power politics. Let's wait and watch.

As a part of their tacit understanding, TDP head honcho Chandra Babu Naidu and film star and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan shared the dais during election campaigning. Addressing the gathering, Chandra Babu claimed that he and Narendra Modi were a winning combination. He said they will strive together for the development of the newly states. Pawan started off his speech by saying that he chose not to field candidates to avoid indirectly supporting the Congress. He also blamed the Congress for the way in which it went about the bifurcation process and said that there was no need to delay the decision till hundreds of youth sacrificed their lives.
He said this was the primary reason for his extending his support to Narendra Modi at the centre and Chandra Babu closer home as he was part of NDA in the past. Pawan also said that he was sincerely hoping that NDA should come to power at the Centre and in Telangana which will benefit the people of both Telangana and Seemandhra. The instigating statements made by KCR against Modi and Sonia Gandhi will not aid the prospects of Telangana people, he said. Pawan added that all the sacrifices by Telangana people will go waste if they support TRS and KCR. Pawan said that he envisaged NDA governments in both the states and said that he would campaign extensively for the NDA alliance in both the states.
However, Pawan strategically avoided mentioning TDP during the entire speech. When asked if he will campaign along side Chandra Babu, he diplomatically said that he will decide depending on the situation at that time. Pawan also chose to address the issue of a BC candidate being made the CM in Telangana. He reminded that Chandra Babu had promised to make a BC candidate chief minister in Telangana. While criticizing KCR for talking down to BC leader Shravan, he said he was extending his support to NDA based on Chandra Babu’s promise.

All eyes on BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi's Today's visit to the state. Modi's visit, a day after Rahul Gandhi's visit, gained much significance. Interestingly, Modi is going to address four public shows in Andhra Pradesh in a day. He is going to address public in Nizamabad (at 2 PM), Karimnagar (at 3 PM), Mahabubnagar (5 PM) and finally in Hyderabad's L.B Stadium (at 6.15 PM).
While Pawan Kalyan is all set to go to Nizamabad in a special helicopter from Begumpet and join Modi's Nizamabad speech, TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu will only join Narendra Modi in Mahabubnagar as Babu is busy touring in Chittoor district. Both Babu, Pawan Kalyan will be seen sharing dais with Modi in Mahabubnagar and Hyderabad meetings. Large number of police personnel have been deployed and security is beefed up considering Modi's public meetings. Hyderabad City Traffic police have imposed restrictions in city from 2 PM to 9 PM in and around the locales of L.B Stadium.

Finally, D-day has come. Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is going to meet TDP Supremo Chandra Babu Naidu in Hyderabad within few hours. Both Pawan and Babu are going to held deliberations on Narendra Modi's visit to Hyderabad Tomorrow and his public meeting in L.B Nagar Stadium the same day. Top sources in the know revealed that Pawan and Babu are going to finalize an action plan for TDP-BJP campaigning in Telangana, Seemandhra. "Both are going to discuss on various political issues, happenings in Seemandhra, Telangana. Yes, they're figuring out solutions to few internal problems within both TDP, BJP about the alliance. The main agenda of Pawan and Babu is to make Modi's meet a grand success," shared a TDP top leader. And yes, as reported earlier, Pawan Kalyan and Chandra Babu Naidu are going to share dais with Modi Tomorrow.
Ever since Pawan Kalyan floated his own outfit Jana Sena Party, there have been wide speculations about Pawan's support to TDP. Although Pawan has tight lipped about it and maintained his support to Narendra Modi's Prime Ministerial candidate, media reports were rife that Pawan is inclined towards Chandra Babu's administration in State. BJP stitching an alliance with TDP in both Seemandhra and Telangana has added fuel to those reports. Reports even surfaced that Pawan has met Babu couple of times. Yet there is no statement on it from both parties. With none other than two Titans Pawan Kalyan and Chandra Babu going to meet now, it garnered much significance. We have to see whether Pawan makes an open statement in support of TDP, Chandra Babu. If so, definitely, it will be big boost to TDP ahead of elections. Already, all opinion polls predicted a clear edge for TDP-BJP. However, TDP-BJP are taking this elections as prestigious. As of now, all eyes are on Pawan Kalyan-Chandra Babu Naidu's meet.
