It's a busy Tuesday for birthday boy-'Legend' Balakrishna who recently donned into new role as Member of Legislative Assembly representing Hindupur Constituency. The day incidentally happens to be the successful 50th Day of his recent blockbuster Legend and 54th birthday of him. Balayya had a quite hectic schedule yesterday, meeting his fans from various parts of the two States, partyworkers from Hyderabad, Hindupur and posing pictures with them, cutting cakes and celebrating every moment with his near and dears. Yet it didn't deter Balayya to participate in the celebrations of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
Celebrating with kids, patients and doctors of the hospital, Chairman of Cancer Hospital Balayya spent extra-time with kids, patients. He offered special gifts to kids. Big T-town stars are very stingy about their pay packets but seasoned star Balakrishna thinks otherwise and also thinks about the welfare of the producers. While discussing about making of Legend, producers Sai and Anil Sunkara & team wit Balakrishna in a private chat and felt that the film has gone over budget.
Immediately, Balakrishna asked them not to pay his balance Rs. 50 lakh out of his Rs 5.5 crore remuneration and adjust it towards the excess budget. Producers walked away with hearts filled with happiness, since the offer came from Balakrishna himself and felt happy that a star has acknowledged their pain. A Good-hearted soul indeed!

Legend's dream run at the box office continued on the fifth day too. The film didn't see any considerable drops on its fifth day thus raising the hopes of buyers to have a steady second week. This success means so much to Balakrishna as he did his best to put breaks on his flop streak.
Balakrishna literally stopped doing films for few months in order to find the right script. He gave the responsibility to Boyapati Srinu for the second time and the director delivered yet again. Now Balakrishna's confidence in Boyapati has gone up further that he has finalized him as the director of his hundredth film.Balakrishna is also impressed with the producers of this film. He agreed to do his hundredth movie on 14 Reels banner. 14 Reels and Boyapati Srinu are already putting in efforts to make Balakrishna's 100th film a Legendary one. This combination itself would raise expectations on Balakrishna's 100. But before that Balakrishna has to do two more films to reach the ultimate landmark in his career.

Success of latest movie 'Legend' has not only enhanced Balayya's image to a next level in the masses, but it has doubled the voices that are seeking the entry of this star hero into active politics. But his touch-and-go kind of statements seems to be looming black clouds inside Telugudesam camps.
Being a scion and heir to Nandamuri family, one will definitely expect to take up politics post movie career. However, Balayya is busy saying that he will balance both his political and movie careers once he contests in 2014 election and wins. This is what wondering the TDP folks as they are worried where this touch-and-go attitude of the actor will land him in. Apparently cyclewalas are expecting Balayya full time such that he will play constructive role in day to day work of the party if at all his baava Chandrababu is busy with much bigger affairs. But as our actor says that he wants to be committed to films too, there is no way his political career could take a big leap. Will our actor disperse these black clouds off as he thinks about riding two horses at the same time, is what everyone is really looking at. Let us see.

It seems like this is a day of twists and surprises, when it comes to Nandamuri Balakrishna's latest movie 'Legend'. As Censor Board has given a jolt to the makers by asking them to obtain a No Objection Certificate from Election Commission, here is what 'Legend' achieved.
Calling the movie as quite "explosive" for its political punches that are indirectly aimed at ruling governments, Censor Board asked the makers to mute many dialogues and cut few scenes. However, the Board has given another option to avoid the cuts, saying that 'Legend' makers should obtain an NOC (No-obejection certificate) from Election Commission of India to allow the movie to release. As General Elections are just a month ahead and Election Code is in force, Censor Board might have felt that release of Legend with those incorporated political dialogues will lead to trouble and protests of people from political parties. But after watching the film, Election Commission appreciated the movie for its take on present day politics. Praising the director for his application of honesty and integrity to address key issues of the society, Election Commission has given clearance to the release of movie, a source revealed. As EC has given NOC now, it seems like Censor Board will not have a problem to issue a U/A certificate for the movie. So, the game is on folks. Balakrishna's Legend will be hitting the screens across the globe on March 28 to enthral Nandamuri fans. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the movie features senior hero Jagapathi Babu in a special villain role, while Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan are playing female leads. Exactly at 10.34 am, Legend's first show will be screened in India on March 28, 2014.

"Once I step inĂ¢€¦ History repeats," Balakrishna roared in Legend. Fans have been waiting to see that history to repeat for quite some time. But Balakrishna is not making that ultimate move and not taking that plunge in politics. Everyone expected Balakrishna to contest in 2014 elections, but as of now Balakrishna is still sitting tight and far away from direct politics.
Balakrishna will surely do the election campaign for Telugu Desam Party, but he is not going to contest from any place as of now. Few months ago Balakrishna told to media that he will contest in 2014 elections. But he hasn't taken any steps towards that dream. This means Balakrishna fans are in for disappointment yet again. This is the right time for Balakrishna to step into politics as he is in the fag end of his career. Waiting for five more years won't do any good for him as the focus will shift to others. Is Balakrishna still planning to contest in the coming elections or is he waiting for the Legend result to make a decision?

Recently wrapped up Sankranthi season is a big disappointment for Nandmuri fans as Boyapati Sreenu failed to keep his promise. But here comes the big news from the lion's den about his forthcoming project.
Taking a big gap since the release of his last movie 'Srimannarayana', Nandamuri Balakrishna is all set to enthral fans with 'Legend'. Touted to be an action entertainer in a political backdrop, mass movie specialist Boyapati Sreenu is directing the flick. In fact, teaser of this movie is expected to hit theatres along with '1 Nenokkadine' as both movies are produced by 14 reels only. But the teaser never made it to theatres and here comes the latest 'confirmation' call about 'Legend' featuring Balayya, Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan.Close sources inside 14 reels office revealed that 'Legend' will hit screens either in last week of March or first week of April. As of now, the makers are planning for a safe date as they want Balayya's flick to have a solo release and make big money. That's the news folks!
