Surprise, Mahesh Babu not approached yet!

We have been hearing reports about Mahesh Babu doing a film under Mani Ratnam's direction. Media reports read that this film is a multi-starrer in which Nagarjuna is playing an important character. However, Mahesh Babu made it clear that no one has approached him regarding this.

Speaking to a daily Mahesh said that he too 'heard' about the news of Mani Ratnam's multistarrer. He didn't express his willingness to do the film, but said that he is currently concentrating 'only' on Aagadu. With this it is clear that Maniratnam is yet to approach Mahesh for his ambitious project.

News about Mani Ratnam, Mahesh Babu's film surfaced in media in the past too. But that didn't materialize. This film can surely grab eyeballs if it really happens. Mahesh is currently focusing to get back on track after the setback of 1 Nenokkadine.

'One' Vs 'Yevadu': Pre Release Talk

Clearing all the clouds, it is now confirmed that Sankranthi 2014 is going to be very busy at the Tollywood box office.  At the same time, there is also going to be a tough fight between the two big superstars Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan. 

Their respective films ‘1-Nenokkadine’ and ‘Yevadu’ are releasing on January 10th and 12th respectively.   With this, many have begun digging out to see how best the films are and here is a look at the talk. 

 In terms of ‘1-Nenokkadine’ the talk is that Screenplay is good and Mahesh-Kriti onscreen chemistry has come out very well. Even the action sequences are being considered first of its kind in Tollywood. 

As for ‘Yevadu’ talk is that the storyline is good and the twists in the story will also hook the audience very well.  On a comparative note, the songs of ‘Yevadu’ are getting better response than ‘1-Nenokkadine’.  But overall both films are entering the theatres with good and positive talk.

Censor Board has cleared '1 - Nenokkadine' with an U/A certificate.  This stylish action entertainer has got a rutime of 144 minutes and the prints also consists of NO Smoke video ad which lasts for 1:30 minutes. So, all the hurdles for the massive release on January 10th, 2014 have been cleared.

Most of the past hits of Mahesh Babu have acquired an 'A' certificate. An 'U/A' for suspense thriller is a huge bonus for the makers and when a huge star like Mahesh plays the lead the viewership will only get multiplied.

'1 - Nenokkadine' will be hitting the screens in massive number of theatres and it will have the advantage of first biggie releasing for this Sankranthi. 14 Reels and Eros International have made sure the film gets record number of screens in all the territories. Superstar Mahesh and Mega Powerstar Ram Charan have created quite a buzz last year with their movie release on the eve of Sankranthi. Their Naayak and Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu have hit screens and both collected huge at box office. This time again, they are getting ready for another tiff, and equations are quite interesting now due to the kind of genres they have picked.

Dec 31st - Sleepless night for Mahesh Fans

Only '1' mantra will satisfy the fans of Superstar as they are dead hungry for that pending treat. Though the promotions of this latest movie have peaked charts, the full-meals kind of trailer is yet to come out of the bag.

The wait is finally over and here comes the first ever theatrical trailer of Superstar Mahesh Babu's upcoming movie '1 Nenokkadine'. Actually this treat was supposed to thrill fans on December 20th but Mahesh announced on that audio release day that fans need to wait for some more time. After getting postponed from December 25th, the makers of '1 Nenokkadine' are finally releasing the trailer of the much awaited flick on New Year's Eve.

However, the big thing  is that the trailer of '1 Nenokkadine' will be hitting tinsel town at the stroke of 12 on the night of December 31st. Apart from celebrating their New Year welcome parties, fans need to stay awake the whole night, because they have to embrace in the goose bumps that the trailer will give. 1 Nenokkadine release to be postponed?!

Mahesh Babu's 1 Nenokkadine shoot is almost complete. The unit is wrapping up the last song shoot and the post production work is going on brisk pace. Makers are targeting to release the movie on January 10th. Theaters are booked for the same. But the buzz from film industry tells that the film may get delayed.

1 Nenokkadine team is trying their best to release the movie on January 10th as it is the ideal date. But if the film doesn't get ready by then, it will release on Bhogi day, i.e. January 13th. Although this is a good day to release, it will affect the film's openings in US. Mahesh Babu is the biggest crowd puller in US and if he misses the weekend release then 1 Nenokkadine will be in trouble.

Producers are aware of this and doing their best to finish off the film in time. Two teams are working in two shifts to get the first copy by January 4th. The audio of 1 Nenokkadine is a hit and boosted the hype. Who are You and Sayanora songs are already topping the charts.

Silent Mahesh Or Vibrant Mahesh?

Like the intensity of hype it generation, Mahesh Babu's '1 Nenokkadine' is making people equally anxious. This is because of the look of our hero, which he claimed as the best till date in his career.

For the first time ever, we are watching photos of Mahesh Babu without having smile on his face when it comes to '1 Nenokkadine'. Though Superstar has done some serious characterization look earlier, but it is only for a short period. In Athadu, Athidi and Sainikudu, Mahesh went to that silent and serious mode just for a while, and rest of the time he is part of delivering all that comedy and entertainment. Say it the trailer, teaser, video or leaked pictures of '1', all of them are showing Mahesh in a serious avatar only. Though a girl is running after him, he is still silent and delivering different expressions only through his eyes.

A hero's characterization in the movie is what drives the clicking factor at box office. If Mahesh is completely silent throughout the flick this way without any vibrant entertainment, then chances for this 72 Crore venture (that's the amount EROS invested) will be slim. Let's hope Superstar is vibrant, but not silent.

Earlier there are doubts if hot model turned actress Kriti Sanon will do justice to her role in Superstar Mahesh Babu's upcoming '1 Nenokkadine'. Many stated that she is photogenic but not expressive. Here comes the day where we need to stop worrying about her.

Director gets a rude shock from Mahesh

Writer turned director Koratala Shiva has delivered one of the biggest hits of the year with Mirchi. Despite grand debut, Koratala is yet to launch his second directorial venture. He has already full script on hands but not finding heroes to launch the film. Ram Charan rejected this film and is going with Krishna Vamsi.

Jr. NTR was reportedly angry with Koratala Shiva for not making the changes that he had asked for. Koratala Shiva is happy to wait until Mahesh Babu gets free. He was supposed to direct Mahesh Babu's immediate film after Aagadu. When Koratala has pinned lot of hopes on that project, he gets a rude shock from Mahesh Babu!

Most Interesting Things At '1' Audio Launch

Fans of Superstar Mahesh are going to be pushed onto cloud nine as '1 Nenokkadine' audio will be unveiled by stars among stars. What's exciting fans more are the 'interesting' stuff that are going to happen at the audio launch?

Well, Superstar Mahesh will be present at the audio and all other known chief guests will take the chairs. Devi Sri Prasad will sing some songs live, and dancers will perform for them. This is all regular stuff, no? On a serious note, there are two interesting things that are going to happen at '1 Nenokkadine' audio launch.

Promos Talk: 1 Nenokkadine songs are rocking

The wait is over. 1 Nenokkadine songs promos are out. Fans of Mahesh Babu and Sukumar-DSP combination have been waiting to hear the music of 1 Nenokkadine ever since the project was announced. This is the first time ever for DSP to compose music for a Mahesh's film. DSP always stores his best for Sukumar.

So how are the songs? Did they live up to expectations? Going by the 1 minute promos of all the songs, DSP has delivered yet again. London Babu is the item song that will grow on you with repeated hearings. Who Are You is sure going to rock the charts! Excellent rock music with loads of energy. We already got a glimpse of this song's video and it is making waves all around.

You are my love is another beautiful melody from DSP and remaining songs are decent too. 1 Audio will be out in two days and these promos will make everyone wait for the full album. 1 Nenokkadine songs are sure going to top the charts for at least ten weeks from now. Hope the film too lives up to the hype and expectations surrounding it.

Who Delivered Marketing Plans For Mahesh?

For the first time in Tollywood everything is going as per a plan, rather fans themselves creating all the buzz. Here we have set of functions when it comes to big movies and their promotion, but nothing beyond that. However things are quite different for Superstar Mahesh. This is regarding the promotions his upcoming flick '1 Nenokkadine'. Check this out.

Already, initial teasers have brought lot of attention to '1 Nenokkadine' and the leaked stills of the flick created much more curiosity. Then the idea of airing audio function live in theatres created a rage for the kind of thought. It is then followed by the plan to distribute merchandise including t-shirts, caps, key chains, stickers and badges along with the audio-CD for those who buy tickets to watch audio function live. Now, just three days before music launch on December 19th, a micro-teaser is released and that brought much more attention. Many say that the presence of EROS entertainment as the wholesale buyer of '1 Nenokkadine' is responsible for this unique marketing plan.

Generally in Bollywood, makers allot big budgets for promotion irrespective of the star of that flick. Looks like, EROS is making their counterparts of '1 Nenokkadine' do the same thing here such that their investment of 72 crores will be in safer avenues and earn them huge profits. For now these marketing plans delivered by the B-town giant are making Mahesh hold crown, and little support from content created by Sukumar will make him win 2014 Sankranthi race.

Mahesh Babu In Blood Without Shirt

Superstar Mahesh Babu has done many action films but then the element of violence in them has never been raw or blood clogging. But it looks like he has taken the action avatar to a new level in his new movie ‘1-Nenokkadine’. Already, the film is gaining a lot of attention due to the talk about its high octane fights and action sequences. 

Now, there is news that recently a scene was shot on Mahesh wherein he is seen drenched in blood with no shirt on. This is going to be part of the climax sequence. It is heard that this is the scene where Mahesh will also show his six pack body for the first time in front of the camera. 

Sources say the shoot was done very privately and it was ensured that nobody watches it. This is being tagged as the highlight portion of the film which is going to spellbind the audience. The film is due for release on January 10th, 2014 so the day is not far to see the blood bath from Mahesh.

Yevadu May Not Fear That Blackmail

Reportedly some distributors from overseas circuits are heard blackmailing producer Dil Raju to shift 'Yevadu' release date to a later time. They are heard saying that if Yevadu hits screens along with Mahesh Babu's '1-Nenokkadine' there will be shortage of theatres in USA, and also they are talking low about Charan's market stamina.

All these USA distributors are making predictions about Mahesh and Charan's Sankranthi 2014 releases, basing on the outputs of Naayak and Seethamm Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. As SVSC bagged around 8+ crores in US market, and Naayak settled for 2.5+ crores collections, distributors fear that Mahesh will take over the lead again. Though SVSC was a trendsetter at US box office in 2012, Charan got advantage in local market due to the mass-elements and entertainment factor present in his  flick. Cut to the present, what matters the most for 1-Nenokkadine and Yevadu is their entertainment factor. For now, what we could read from the posters and teasers of these two movies is that both have some serious content. So, let us wait for the race to happen to conclude the winner, but we can't straight away say that Mahesh got the edge. Because, both these star heroes have fair share of disasters too in local and overseas box office.

On the flip side, local distributors are preparing for Yevadu on January 9th/10th by giving green signal to producer Dil Raju. They say that these US distributors should fetch theatres at any chance, but shouldn't blackmail producer to postpone the flick from holiday season. It is heard that Dil Raju is on the lookout for new distributor for Yevadu in overseas market.

Yevadu Could Lose Out In the Race

The film has been postponed for the past six months. Now, Yevadu is slotted for a Sankranti release.  But since it is being released alongside Mahesh Babu’s 1-Nenokkadine, industry analysts feel it will face some business problems.  

It is a known fact that Mahesh Babu has a lot of craze in the US market. So, releasing Yevadu in competition with ‘1’ is a risky business feel its distributors.  It is heard that the distributors who bought the film’s rights are no longer keen on doing business in the US.  Apparently, a distributor told Dil Raju that it will be difficult for Yevadu to get theatres and to make business if the film is released during Sankranti. But if the film defers the Sankranti release, then it will stand to lose in the state.

 Hence, Dil Raju will have to look out for a new distributor or distribute the film himself in the US.  Last year, when Ram Charan’s Nayak released along with Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, it was a huge flop in the US. But the film was a hit here.  Despite positive talk and good reviews, Nayak failed to win over the audience in the US over SVSC. That’s the reason why the buyers in the US are thinking twice before tying up with Yevadu!

1-Nenokkadine @ 85 Cr Target Vs 35 Cr Profit

'1-Nenokkadine' is the most awaited flick of the season not just for entertainment sake, for also beating records and for writing new ones. Superstar Mahesh Babu is getting ready to showcase his stamina with the high budgeted flick of his career that is made under Sukumar's direction. But it seems like there are certain benchmarks that the flick should cross to prove its capacity.

Well, let us call 'Eros International' as the producer of this flick as the original makers '14 Reels' have sold it already at a staggering price of 72 crores. The whole budget of this movie is 72 crores now and only a penny more than that will be counted as profit for the Mumbai based Production Company. Firstly, to smash records in Tollywood, '1-Nenokkadine' should beat Pawan's Attarintiki Daredi, the latest crown-holder of Telugu industry. Final figures of AD have already touched 85 crores nearly and counting.

So, Mahesh Babu should cross this mark to become the new industry-hit deliverer of Telugu cinema. But what is unseen here is the profit made by AD for producer BVSN Prasad. Made with a budget of 50 Crores nearly, AD raked in 85 crores meaning there is a profit of nearly 35 crores. Mahesh should then reach 100 Crore club with '1-Nenokkadine' if he wants to give 30+ crores profit to Eros. Can he do that? Will he beat 85+ Crores record or deliver 30+ crores profit? Only time has the answer!

'1 - Nenokkadine' producers daring movie

'1' movie starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role is carrying sky high expectations. Sukumar, who is known to be an intelligent filmmaker, has been working on this film for over two years. This is touted to be the costliest film ever made on Telugu screen and it is an action thriller with mindboggling action sequences.

Producers of this movie are pretty sure about the 1's performance at the box office. Hence, they are not willing to sell the distribution rights in many areas. Except for Guntur and Uttarandhra, none of the areas are sold for 1. The makers are planning to release it on their own. They are expecting 1 to break all the existing records and therefore they are going for an all out release.

This should be a daring move from the producer's side. When so much money is spent on a film, producers usually tend to sell it off and be in a safe zone. What if the result comes against their expectations? The confidence that the producers are showing in their film is indirectly raising the expectations of fans on 1.

Mahesh-Trivikram's Third Film?

From the last few months there was a talk of Mahesh Babu doing the film ‘Businessman 2’ with Puri Jagannadh. However, with the latest developments it looks as good as certain that this project is not happening.  

Currently, Mahesh is busy with the completion of his movie ‘1-Nenokkadine’. Meanwhile, there is news that he would be teaming up with Trivikram Srinivas for the third time. The duo has come up with films like ‘Athadu’ and ‘Khaleja’ with the second one not getting good marks. 

The third venture is expected to be produced by Bandla Ganesh and an announcement is expected soon. 

Filmnagar folks say Trivikram has prepared a story based on Mahesh.  Already, the prince of Tollywood is busy with Sreenu Vaitla for the film ‘Aagadu’ and after that he would be working with Koratala Siva under UTV Movies banner.  

Given all these commitments, it looks very clear that ‘Businessman 2’ is not going to materialize.
