Trailer Talk: Rajni's Show All The Way

Much awaited theatrical trailer of 'Kochadaiyaan' (Vikrama Simha in Telugu) is here finally, unveiled by Superstar Rajnikanth the other day along with the audio of the movie in Chennai. Like expected, the trailer starts and ends with Rajnikanth's mesmeric style and magic all over.

'Kochadaiyaan' is all about a father and son, among which the father is a sage and considered a big threat for the kingdom. And when the king meets the son, he realizes that he needs to abolish this blood of Kochadaiyan from the earth. All the story is all about what happened to father in the past, and how son avenges the ill-treatment. Rajnikanth, as a father and son, is literally amazing. Though an animation film made with motion-capture technology, Rajni's antics are used completely. At the same time, other characters like Deepika Padukone's, Sobhana's are also suave and sexy too. Also, dialogues by our universal star are crisp and hits instantly.

While visual effects quality is not much superior like a Hollywood film, Rajnikanth's presence, stylish fights and songs will serve that much needed 'masala' meal to fans for sure.

Bangaru Kodipetta Movie Review

Cast: Navdeep , Swathi , Harsha Vardhan and others
Directed by : Raj Pippalla
Produced by : Sunitha Tati
Banner :Guru Films
Music by : Mahesh Shankar
Release Date : 2014-03-07
Bangaru Kodipetta Movie Review:
Navdeep who has been desperately searching for a hit has teamed up with Swathi this time. Raj Pippalla directed this film which grabbed the attention of film lovers with attractive promos.

What is it about?

This film is about three stories.

1) Vamsi (Navdeep) and Bhanu (Swathi) plans to rob few kilos of gold to settle down in life.
2) An aspiring actor Venu (Santosh) realizes one can be hero in real life.
3) Two brothers (Ram Lakshman) unite after being separated due to property related clashes.

Performances:

Swathi is impressive as usual. She looked dull and pale to suit the character. She is very expressive and delivered the best for the character. Navdeep's performance is fine. He is very handsome in this film. Harsha Vardhan excelled every time he is on screen. Santosh failed to do justice to his role. There is nothing much to say about other actors.

Technicalities:

Raj Pippalla failed to extract the best out of his technical crew. Everyone has come up with average or below average output. Cinematography is just okay and music is mediocre. None of the songs are impressive. Background score is a total letdown. Editing could have been much much better. Editor could have chopped chunks of waste from this film. Director's efforts as a writer are good, but he has failed miserably in the execution part. Films like these need a racy screenplay and Raj Pippalla failed to make this an engaging film despite interesting plot.

Analysis:

Bangaru Kodipetta starts off on an interesting note and looks promising at the start. But it fizzled out at a rapid pace with director taking the slow route. The film's screenplay never shifts gears and gets boring as it reaches the interval point. We expect things to get better and fast in the second half, but the director had other ideas.

He continued to take it forward at his own leisure pace and Bangaru Kodipetta gets tiresome at a point. The film only gathers speed towards the climax and ends on a fine note. Except for the climax sequences, nothing works in favor of this film. The premise is good and could have been a fine crime caper if the director took care of the entertainment factor and made the film engaging.

We have seen better films with the same plot and hence Bangaru Kodipetta fails to impress on a whole. Only thing noteworthy is the screenplay format used to narrate this film that has three stories intervened into one. Director failed to write impressive scenes on other characters except for the lead pair. Swathi and Navdeep shouldered this ordinary film and made it watchable. Director's weaknesses hampered the prospects of this Hen and hence it ended up as a below average fare.

Verdict: 'Bronze' Kodipetta!!

Trailer Talk: Manchu 'Rowdy' Is Intriguing

Once again Ram Gopal Varma proved that there is no one second to him to deliver an intense drama coupled with loads of emotions and violence. We have seen that in Sarkar and Rakta Charitra, and now imagine Manchu family filling in that space.

Featuring Manchu heroes, Mohan Babu and Vishnu, director RGV has come up with 'Rowdy' that is spectacularly thrilling. The two minute trailer speaks it all for Manchu heroes, as Mohan Babu and Vishnu dominate each other with their spine chilling serious looks. Set in the backdrop of Rayalaseema factionists, undoubtedly Ramu is to his career best if we have to judge him by the trailer. The way even Jayasudha was made sound like a factionist is what makes the movie more intriguing. Dialogues are also going to play key role, with Mohan Babu and Vishnu talking less, crisp and straight.

Apart from the actors and director, it is background score by Sai Karthik that beats rust from the years with its terrific elevation to the scenes. Also cinematography by Satish looks commendable. Catch up with 'Rowdy' trailer to get yourself immersed with yet another dramatic movie.

Pawan Vs Kiran: Who will score?

With general elections are just around the corner, and election schedule too in place, politics in Andhra Pradesh is undergoing never-seen-before changes. Two new political 'forces' are going to born- one is being floated by former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, the other is brainchild of actor Pawan Kalyan. Both are going to come into existence on same day- March 12.

Kiran is going to announce his political party on March 12th evening at a public meeting in Rajahmundry. And though Pawan is going to make appearance in front of media on March 9, he is going to make full-fledged announcement on March 12 itself. Pawan Kalyan has already booked Hitex ground in Hyderabad on same day (March 12) to reveal his political force. Pawan's office has sent word to his fan organizations, former PRP workers to attend this event. Pawan's team is doing massive arrangements. Two prominent personalities of State are launching their political outfits at same time. This has never happened in State. On this peculiar context, we try to gauge the merits and demerits of these two teams, various factors that affect the outcome and who will score more. Naturally there are several apprehensions as well as advantages dangling in front of these two forces. Let's see.

While Pawan Kalyan's agenda is to bring "change in political system", Kiran Kumar Reddy's slogan is "to safeguard the respect and pride of Telugus". Interestingly both these are existing agendas of two political parties in state. Pawan's agenda is so close to Lok Satta Party's ideology of cleaning politics whereas Kiran's point has been boasted by Telugu Desam Party on various events. In fact, TDP was built on "Telugu Vaari Aatma Guaravam" (Self-respect of Telugus) concept. On this front, these two forces may not click and grab attention of people.

Veering towards support to these forces, no doubt Pawan has humongous fan base. Yet they're divided on Pawan's political reentry. And many of Pawan's fans have had their loyalty to other political parties. And Chirus fans are unhappy over the turn of events. Kiran Reddy too have fans aftermath his open revolt against high command. Especially, NGOs, majority of government employees, students and youth are in favour of Kiran. Kiran is well-educated and seen as new generation political leader. At the same time, Kiran does have his demerits.

Caste is one major issue in Indian politics which play significant role. Sad, but true. While a section of Reddys, who are unwilling to support Jagan Reddy, have got an alternative in form of Kiran Reddy. And Kapus, majority section in AP, are likely to sail with Pawan given that his charisma. Even Pawan too is heavily banking on this factor.

Another important aspect is that Kiran Reddy has vast political experience whereas Pawan is almost novice. Kiran knows ground realities, poll booth politics, how it works. Many senior Congress leaders like Undavalli Arun Kumar, Sabbam Hari, Rayapati Samba Siva Rao, Harsha Kumar, Sailajanath and many others were behind him. Pawan might head Yuvarajyam but this is completely different from handling party or a team of people and oversee elections. This pose a big challenge to Pawan and his team. Coming to his team, it's still unclear who is going to travel with Pawan. If reports to be believed, few former PRP MLAs, leaders might join Pawan which hardly has any affect.

On whole, going gets tough for both Pawan and Kiran as both are running against time. Given that TDP has strong cadre and YSRCP too have its base, Kiran and Pawan may can't be game changers but may end up as third and fourth. Let's see who will emerge as winner.

Pawan gives way to Kiran Reddy

It's a big sigh of relief to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy ever since he come to know that Pawan Kalyan withdrew his political party proposal. Thanks to Chiranjeevi & Co. for persuading Pawan to drop his new party plans. Going by our sources, Kiran Kumar Reddy must thank Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi.

Now that Pawan has gone back, Kiran is setting ground to float his political outfit. Ending weeks of speculation, he is going to make a formal announcement Today (Thursday) evening, probably at 4 P.M. "Since Election code is in existence, Kiran may not register new party. He is going to announce already registered party as his party. There are four to five registered parties under his sleeve. He is going to choose one among them," revealed a highly placed source.

Buzz is that the name of the party would be Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP). As reported earlier, Slippers (Pada Rakshalu) is going to be his Election Symbol. The flag used during Samaikyandhra movement would be the flag of the party. MPs Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, Undavalli Arun Kumar, Harsha Kumar, Minister Sailajanath and several former Congress leaders are looking forward to this party as an alternative.

Meanwhile, Kiran Kumar Reddy filed the petition against State bifurcation in Supreme Court Today in New Delhi. This is likely to be taken up Tomorrow in the Apex Court. If Supreme Court bench imposes a stay against bifurcation, it will be a big boost to Kiran's new party. And hence, Kiran has perfectly sketched the petition so that Supreme halts ongoing division. Let's wait and see.
