Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu is all set for massive reforms. In his valedictory speech to Governor ESL Narsimhan's address in the first session of AP Assembly, Naidu revealed his development lay out for the new State. 

Stating that 'White Papers' will be released from June 26 on the prevailing condition of the State, Babu lashed out at previous Congress government in which YS Rajasekhar Reddy was part. Taking a dig at Jagan indirectly, Chandra Babu said, "Due to the long-term initiatives taken up by previous TDP government in (1995-2004), budget has gone upto record 1 Lakh crores during Congress regime. Everyone knows where that money has gone." Chandra Babu recalled, "During 1995-96, the debts of state are Rs 19,000 Crore whereas in 2013-2014, the debts are Rs 1,73,849 crores."

10-Point Agenda for 'Ananda' Andhra Pradesh

1. Chalking out welfare programmes for SC, STs alongside sub-plans for Backward Castes.

2. Employment opportunities for youth. Skill-development programmes for unemployed to meet the needs of industries.

3. Waiver of Agricultural, Dwacra Loans as soon as possible.

4. Special commission will be constituted within 6 months to look into the procedure of allotting BC status to Kapus.

5. Preparations are on to celebrate Indpendence Day in grand way in Kurnool to restore the confidence of people of all districts, regions.

6. 9-hour power supply to Agriculture sector and 24-hour non-stop power supply to Industries.

7. Sea ports will be given due priority in the new State for increasing business thus revenue.

8. Building of capital on par with global standards.

9. Going to demand Centre to allot 15 years Special Status to Andhra Pradesh and special financial packages for North Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema region.

10. Coming up with first report on loan waiver in five days. Officials are working on to deliver Rs 1000 to 2000 allowance to unemployed per every month.

Babu's Decision to Cost Rs 30,000 Crore

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu's pets scheme- loan waiver scheme- is going to cost a bomb for the new state. As per the reports, waiver of crop loans, agricultural loans, gold loans, is expected to cost Rs 30,000 Crore. Kotiaha Committee, which was constituted to look into possibilities and challenges of loan waiver, has met Chandra Babu Naidu at his residence. Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Agricultura Minister Pathipati Pullarao were also present at meeting.

As per the committee's recommendations, if a farmer has more than one loan, efforts are being made to waive only one loan so that other farmers also be benefitted. However, discussions are going on over the limit of loan whether it is Rs 1 Lakh or Rs 1.5 Lakh. Sources in the know confide that the limit would be Rs 1.5 Lakh. If a farmer has debts more than Rs 1.5 Lakh, government will only pay upto Rs 1.5 Lakh and the remaining has to be paid by the farmer himself. Both agricultural loans and Dwacra loans are going to be a burden of over Rs 30,000 crore.

since AP government is not in a position to pay total amount at once, government is mulling over to pay some amount in first phase and want to issue bonds for the remaining. Since RBI is opposing the option of issuing bonds, government is chalking out a new option. Authoirties may ask farmers to repay the remaining amount and issue bonds to farmers and government will slowly reimburse the amount to farmers. 

For instance, if government is willing to waive of Rs 1.5 Lakh loan, it will pay Rs 75,000 initially and may ask respective ones to pay Rs 75,000 on their own and the government will repay it to farmer in instalments. Kotaiaha Commitee is going to meet RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan in New Delhi on Tuesday followed by meeting Union Finance Secretary over the issue. Chandra Babu Naidu has already chalked out a plan to generate revenue in order to waive of loans. Efforts are being made to sell Red Sandal in government handover and if that is not sufficient, he make look at the option of making new debts.

Highlights of The First Day of AP Assembly

The first day of the first session of new State of Andhra Pradesh has begun on bright note on Thursday at 11.52 AM in Assembly Hall, Nampally in Hyderabad. The first day witnessed many anxious moments including exchange of greetings between CM Chandra Babu Naidu and Opposition leader Jagan Mohan Reddy. First House Leader Chandra Babu Naidu has taken the oath followed by opposition leader Jagan. Deputy CMs Nimmakyala Chinnarajappa, KE Krishna Murthy, Ministers CH Ayyanna Patrudu, Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy, Devineni Uma, Paritala Sunitha and others taken oath in order.

Out of 175 MLAs only 166 MLAs have taken oath on the first day. While Pathivada Narayanaswamy Naidu has already taken oath as Protem Speaker, administered by Governor Narsimhan, six others could not take oath for various reasons. The six MLAS who are yet to take oath are Ravindra Reddy, Sai Prathap Reddy, Jyothula Nehru, V Satyanarayana Murthy, Shyamsunder Sivaji and GV Anjaneyulu. Even before swearing in, Nandigama MLA Tangirala Prabhakara Rao (TDP) and Shobha Nagireddy (Allagadda) have passed away. The house mourned for their passing away and recalled their services. The House was later adjourned for Friday (Today). TDP senior leader-Sattenapalli MLA Kodela Siva Prasad Rao is all set to be elected as the first Speaker of AP Assembly Today. On Saturday, June 21th, Governor Narsimhan will address the both houses and the house will discuss on Governor's address on June 23, 24 (as June 22 Sunday is Holiday). The first session of AP Assembly will come to end on June 24.

Jr NTR turns Choreographer

All these years we have known Jr NTR as one of the finest dancers in the Telugu Film Industry. Now, We got an opportunity to witness his choreography skills.    

Yes, Young Tiger has donned a new avatar for 'Rabhasa'. The best part of NTR's 23rd flick is the actor turning into a choreographer and composes dance moves for himself. Makers have been with the idea of using this special song for promotional campaign of the movie.   

Apparently, NTR's Rabhasa is carrying low buzz and the ineffective first look teaser have to be blamed for it. The reports of Tarak's choreography will generate the positive buzz for sure.  Except for 12 days of Talkie and some Patch Work, The shoot of 'Rabhasa' which is being directed by Kandireega fame Santosh Srinivas is complete. Last day of working for NTR is July 9th. Audio release will be in the 3rd week of July and movie hits the screens on Independence Day (August 15th).

KCR's Surprise Act Wins Hearts

Telangana first Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has done unusual and surprising act. He has stopped his convoy, in which he was traveling, on Sunday in Siddipet. And KCR has done it after seeing few "important persons". If you're wondering who the important persons are, check this out.

KCR apparently stopped the convoy after seeing few of his childhood acquaintances on the road. To everyone's surprise KCR enquired about their well-being and asked where they were heading to. When they said they're on their way to his home to greet him, KCR directed officials to make sure they had their lunch at his home and meet him post lunch.

Speaking to media persons after the whole incident, the acquaintances of KCR rained praises on their leader. They shared, "KCR hasn't changed much despite being Chief Minister and treated us well." This act of KCR has raised many eye brows and KCR certainly won the hearts of many with his noble act! Looks like, KCR is showcasing his other facet.

Nandigama MLA Prabhakar Rao No More

Two-time MLA from TDP, Nandigama sitting MLA Tangirala Prabhakar Rao has breathed his last on Sunday late night. 64-year-old Tangirala had been active on Sunday. Tangirala was with Major Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma throughout the day and duo monitored the works of Pulichintala Project. Tangirala accompanied Devineni Uma till 9 PM on Sunday. Later Tangirala reached his home, had dinner and slept. His son Nani was with him. After a while, Tangirala had vomited what he had eaten. 

Personal security of Tangirala had called up on local doctor and he said Tangirala's condition was serious and rushed him to nearby hospital. Within few minutes after reaching hospital, Tangicharla had breathed his last. Doctors declared him dead at 11.45 PM on Sunday. Tangirala was yet to take oath as MLA. Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has expressed his deep condolences to bereaved family. Minister Devineni Uma expressed his shock, grief over Tangirala's passing away.

Born in Paritala village of Kanchikacharla Mandal in Krishna district, Tangicharla was an advocate. He earlier served as Mandal President, ZPTC member before becoming MLA in 2009. He was survived by two daughters and one son. Elder daughter is software engineer in Bangalore, while younger daughter is Bank employee. His son Nani has completed BED. Tangirala's wife Prameela Rani was Bank Manager and she too died sometime back. Tangirala had been suffering from High BP and Sugar for a while

Jumpu Jeelani: Double Disaster

Allari Naresh was always touted as the minimum guarantee hero. But in the past few days, he has had consistent flops and is trying real hard to give a hit with a clean film. So, this time, he has paired up with E Sattibabu who had made some decent comedy films in the past. In Jumpu Jeelani, Sattibabu tries a dual role with Allari Naresh. Let’s see if the experiment is a hit or a flop…

Story:
Sattibabu (Allari Naresh) is the owner of a family-run hotel which is in bad shape. His twin brother Rambabu is a thief and a gambler. The SI (Bharat) of the locality in which Sattibabu’s hotel is situated eyes the hotel site. So, he defeats Rambabu in a game of cards and forces him to write off his share in the hotel on his name. Meanwhile, Sattibabu’s girlfriend Madhavi’s (Isha Chawla) engagement is fixed with a factionist (Posani). The rest of the story shows how Sattibabu lands in Pulivendula to bring back his girlfriend and how he eventually saves his hotel.

Artistes’ Performance:
Allari Naresh attempts dual role with the film as we had mentioned earlier. But barring satisfying his wish, he does nothing much to justify the dual role. Of course, one character is innocent while the other is conniving. But that’s where the variation ends. He does not make any attempts at trying anything different. On the other hand, his leading lady Isha Chawla bores with her expressions throughout the film. Another heroine Swati Dixit relies more on body show than histrionics.

Coming to the rest of the cast, Rao Ramesh’s character is introduced with a bang. But eventually, he is relegated to being a buffoon. Posani’s churns out B-grade comedy while Venu Madhav and Raghu Babu fail to evoke laughs. MS Narayana and Kota Srinivasa Rao are wasted.

Technical Expertise:
The film throws up the need to do away with songs in comedy films, especially those that are neither situational nor melodious. The film has way too many songs that are almost unbearable and totally useless. Naresh should take the example of his father’s Kitakitalu which was a hit despite not having any songs.

Cinematography is decent. Had the director given the editor ample freedom, he would have ensured that there were more scenes when the credits rolled by than during the actual running time. The dialogue writer focused more on rhyming his dialogues than making them interesting.

With due respect to the producers, they did spend good amount for a Naresh film. But it’s the director Sattibabu who failed badly in delivering a comic caper. Just 15 minutes into the film, it becomes clear that Sattibabu gave up midway and simply wrapped up the film unable to deliver a funny product. Of course, there are instances where he tries to ape his guru EVV, but he fails to sustain the momentum throughout.

Drawbacks:

• Well, the list is way too long.

Analysis:
It has recently been seen that action films with good doses of comedy have been doing well at the box office. Despite the hero showing off his power for two hours, the sudden introduction of Brahmanandam in the penultimate scenes helped a film rake in Rs 50 crore at the box office. Having no other go, the producers are making space for Brahmanandam in almost all the films. Given this situation in the industry, Jumpu Jeelani which is a comedy film fails to make the audience laugh.

For the audience who expect a lot of funny scenes between the twins, this film is a major disappointment. Before the film’s release, expectations were high that Naresh in dual role will finally manage to get a hit film after a string of flops. But it turns out that Sattibabu wasted the opportunity by making an insipid comedy that bores you to the core.

The catchy title and dual role by Naresh both go waste and the film tests the patience of the audience right from the beginning to the end. Some films tend to get better as they progress, but in the case of Jumpu Jeelani, the film consistently fails to sustain the attention of the audience. In fact, as the film enters the second half, one almost feels like walking out without a second thought.

We have a word of caution: stay away unless you have no other option but to watch it. But if you want to test your luck, then do it at your own risk. We sincerely hope Naresh does some homework before doing a film next time.

Bottomline: Naresh miscalculates once again.
