The Andhra Pradesh State Reorganization Bill, 2013 for the formation of a separate state of Telangana would come up for discussion in the State Assembly scheduled to meet from December 12 and is expected to turn the session into a stormy and noisy affair.
The bill is now under consideration of President Pranab Mukherjee who is learnt to have sought legal opinion on the same before sending the same to the State Assembly seeking its comments on it.
In all probability, the bill will reach the State Legislature Secretariat before commencement of the session.
Minister for Legislature Affairs D Sridhar Babu said the Telangana Bill would come up for discussion during the ensuing Assembly session and sought the cooperation of all parties for a smooth passage of the Bill without any hurdles.
Though the debate in the Assembly is a mere formality, the Congress members from Seemandhra region, who are vehemently opposed to the bifurcation of the state, would press for a voting.
As a matter of fact they had already started parleys with leaders of various party leaders from the region to enlist their support in this regard.
